Went here with a friend freshly relocated from Texas. The restaurant claims to have Texas-style Brisket, and she was suspicious but hopeful. She was pleasantly surprised! I got St. Louis ribs with baked beans. I can be a bit picky about bbq, but I really liked it!

If someone asked me for a BBQ recommendation I would send them to this place, but I don’t know that I would personally come back because it wasn’t that outstanding. The corn bread was good on the top where it’s crispy but the middle was wet and gushy more like corn pudding. The Mac and cheese was excellent. The burnt ends were very Smokey. The Cole slaw was OK, and our brisket sandwich order was made wrong but was still OK after putting more sauce and adding the Cole slaw to it. The hush puppies are nothing special.

We came here for dinner last night. The hostess and waitress were friendly and welcoming. Service was pretty fast. The food was delicious. I got the half chicken dinner with Mac and cheese and fries and husband got the brisket sandwich, our daughter got the 1800. We all ate all our food. Someone else mentioned the smoky flavor was overpowering on a different post but I guess that depends on each individual. I personally liked it. Bbq sauces were delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

First visit met with delight. Customer service was awesome, young man that was our server was very attentive and informative even though it was his first week on the job. Food variety was great and portion sizes were huge for price. Mostly everything we ordered was delicious, except the collards were a bit too salty. Overall great experience.

**UPDATE** Came back and got sauce bottles!!!! Thanks Midwood. Also can now confirm, as someone born and raised in Texas, that the brisket and bacon-wrapped jalapenos are really good.

The pork ribs I had are 5 star ribs. Great chew, rub, very tasty. The house pickles served with the ribs are perfect! Cuts the fat between bites, mmm. And I liked the mustard sauce. The service was great, very attentive, and helpful. And… the collards are bland. The NC sauces are just okay but to be fair, the ribs don’t need the sauce. Bottom line, I’ll be back to try more of the menu and if nothing else is great, I’ll still come back for the ribs. Second time in I got the Chili Nelson tacos with the brisket and the Broccoli Casserole for the side. The brisket was delicious. Juicy smoky salty. The tacos would benefit from more crispy veg of some kind, maybe pickled to cut the fat but were very good even though they were rich. The broccoli casserole, basically a broccoli au gratin, was also great and definitely recommend it. The atmosphere here is good and the service is always good. A solid BBQ destination in Smoky Hollow a block off of Glenwood South.

SO GOOD. A great pickup for Raleigh. A big proponent of BBQ and this is a great spot to take anyone visiting who wants to experience a good variety. Service here is great, and lots of outdoor seating plus SUPER DOG FRIENDLY. In a fantastic area and if you get Ronnie(?) you’re guaranteed a great service. 10/10

Best BBQ/Brisket east of the Mississippi. First place you can actually taste that smoky flavor your taste buds are looking for. The drinks are spot on as well! Good mojitos

Best BBQ place in town. The brisket is just like it is in Texas. The food is absolutely great. The service was awesome too. We waited a longer for our food but were pleasantly surprised by a complementary dessert. They have the best sweet potatoe fries too. I’ve never had Broccoli casserole but it’s on my favorites now. You gotta try this place out
