Would definitely stop in again! Order the Country Man: eggs, country fried steak w/gravy , home style potatoes, and toast. Food was hot delicious and fresh! Service was amazing, friendly, and fast! Portions and prices are superb!

Several state and U.S. highways angle into Kenton like bicycle wheel spokes. On the main east-west drag of Highway 309 just west of downtown Kenton is a small diner that’s often surrounded by cars. I’ve passed by many times and never stopped till now. If you want a taste of bygone days and a slice of Americana, diners like this (many which are long gone) are refreshing to stop at. No chain restaurant can come close. I enjoy how people are addressed by name and new customers are treated just as attentively as the regulars. If you’re hungry, you’ll be met with loaded plates. Portions are large. There is also good flavor in the food (nuthin is worse than a big helping of bland food). The place can be packed (there are limited options in the area, but the downtown is undergoing a revamping). The staff, food, and warm ambiance make plentiful reasons to stop in.

Usually when you have a hole in the wall, think waffle House (imo is too dirty, at least the 2 that I checked out, can I walked right out), the food tends to be very good.
This place is no exception. It’s hard to find good food nowadays. A lot of places that people like I am not a fan of. But I was extremely impressed here.
Over been here 2 times with different people. I’ve seen various breakfast combinations, all very good.
My daughter liked the kid’s chicken tenders, I didn’t like it too much.
The wife tried the country steak and she loved it, it was very good.
Mom tried breakfast, and it was good. Just add salt to the potatoes. If you like pancakes or not, these are awesome, ask to substitute the toast!
I had a burger. The meat was okay, just add a little salt and pepper. I likely will not order it again. But it wasn’t bad. You may not be as picky as I am.
But I have no issues coming back.
Oh, the girls loved the butterscotch pie. I didn’t try it so I cannot comment on it.
The service is unbelievable. They are constantly asking you if you need anything, coffee refills, and the girls are just amazing.
One of the few places where I give a slightly higher tip. The girls really deserve it.
It’s not a five star looking place but the food is very good and inexpensive. Could be the best food in Kenton.

I was in town for business, and I stopped in here on a whim. The parking lot should have been my first hint that not only was this place popular, but I was gonna get a darn good meal. I ordered the Midway Mess. It was a three egg omelette, you can order as such or two eggs, and I’m not at all being facetious when I say it was the best omelette I have ever had. Whether you are transient or local, if you haven’t stopped into this restaurant, you need to! If the bar “Cheers” served breakfast, it would be this place. The staff knew the majority of the customers that walked in, and even as a stranger they made me feel right at home. Thank you staff, and owners of Midway Diner. Keep up the excellent work! I will absolutely be back.

I left a review before taking about Tonya’s “sparkling personality and joyful personality”, but it was so unfair to everyone else, including Aly, who is equally sparkling! It’s like asking a parent to choose a favorite child. They are all incredible, and I’m incredibly fortunate that I live around the country corner and get to visit the Midway often. The food is great, and every single one of them are amazing, the price is fair, and full stop, if you are looking for better in Kenton, OH, you won’t find it, but what you will find is a little diner filled with a whole lot of love.
