The waitress was wonderful and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. The food was decent. Chicken was a little overcooked. My friend got the jumbo bacon cheeseburger and said it was excellent. Mozzarella sticks were bomb! Definitely order 8 instead of 4 lol!

The waitress was very nice and patient but the food was bad I got my son Mac n cheese and you can tell it was from a box my taco salad was gross the only good thing about it was the shell you can tell salsa was store bought there breaded pork loin use to big as the plate it’s like they shrunk it the price they charge is not worth it the French fries had no flavor the chicken tenders where good and the coleslaw was nasty it looked like someone puked it up will never eat there again that place when down hill

I always enjoy a trip to Midtown. The food (especially biscuits and gravy) is always good and the staff is friendly and helpful. They are very family oriented and love seeing little ones. Free pie day is a big hit with our family as well. It has quickly become my favorite go to breakfast place.

This was probably the best omelet I’ve ever had. I had the All Meat omelet, and it was fantastic! Along with the omelet, I had fruit (cantaloupe) and a pancake with peanutbutter. It was a fantastic breakfast and outstanding service. If I ever get back to Iowa City, I will definitely come back to Midtown Family Restaurant.

What a good place to stop and have breakfast at anytime. I had a doctors appointment today and was hungry for a breakfast. Didn’t want the chain taste, so I had to think hard about where I wanted to eat. Then I thought about Midtown. Havent been here in YEARS. I stopped in and had a Good breakfast. I had sausages with 2 eggs over medium with hashbrowns and some apple sauce. I gobbled up half of that and was on my way. The ambience is family like and comfortable. My server Kerry was the Bomb! She wished me Happy birthday and provide excellent customer service.The prices are great here and they keep u coming back. I was very satisfied at Midtown. Keep up the good work. I’ll be back in a few.

Awesome food. Battered pork tenderloin is a two or three meal portion. Even got a hungry guy. Jumbo includes fries, onion rings, and all you see in the photo. Server was experienced and very friendly.
