We went there for something different. We all had breakfast, and it was excellent. My chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, eggs, and pancake were good. Lots of light and fairly quiet. You could talk and not have to yell at one another. We will be back.

This was probably the best omelet I’ve ever had. I had the All Meat omelet, and it was fantastic! Along with the omelet, I had fruit (cantaloupe) and a pancake with peanutbutter. It was a fantastic breakfast and outstanding service. If I ever get back to Iowa City, I will definitely come back to Midtown Family Restaurant.

The waitress was wonderful and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. The food was decent. Chicken was a little overcooked. My friend got the jumbo bacon cheeseburger and said it was excellent. Mozzarella sticks were bomb! Definitely order 8 instead of 4 lol!

That was the best brunch I’ve had in years! Highly recommended. Be prepared to make this place your go to every time! The Liver and Onions were cooked perfectly and the Eggs Benedict were extremely delicious. not one complaint.

Delicious food (I usually get the Hot Beef Sandwich to go and they always put the gravy in bowls so that it doesn’t spill in the car, plus it stays hot until I get home. The cashier is always friendly.
