Their tacos taste the closest to the ones I’ve had in Mexico, and that’s why I keep coming back. The street tacos are honestly finger-licking good, and the taco asada is my go-to every time. The flavors are fresh, the tortillas are perfect, and the seasoning is spot-on. I always leave wanting more—can’t wait to go back again.

Best tacos and quesadillas in Arizona! I’ve been searching for some good Mexican food for the past year in Phoenix. Nothing impressed me. On a recommendation from my coworker I headed down to downtown Gilbert and randomly decided to check out this taco stand. Amazing tacos. Better than what you’ll get at a nice Mexican restaurant.

Could not find them in downtown Gilbert. On Google says they are open and we followed the directions but nothing was there on a Wednesday afternoon (is it a cart? A truck? A brick and mortar?) Please update hours and locations. Called the number listed but it was out of service.

Went there two Friday nights in a row. Had a Hispanic girl in glasses ruin the experience. Been going to midnight taco for years and love the food (and usually the service). She was extremely belligerent and rude. She told us I can’t get guac on the side (which is okay) then proceeds to act like we need to hurry up and order/pay when there was 3 people in line. I love the place and have met the managers/owners, but never been more disrespected not once, but twice at an establishment when all I want to do it buy food from a good business. The girl with glasses is quite possibly the most disrespectful service worker I’ve ordered from and it makes me never want to come back.

I’ve come here multiple times at this point. I work in downtown Gilbert and it’s such a great and quick place to grab food before going home. If you’re gonna be in downtown, just do yourself a favor and come here for a quick bite before leaving. Carne asada is fantastic and I always get an al pastor for good measure. Sodas and water available too plus burritos and Sonoran dogs too!
Pictured is 2 Carne tacos and 1 al pastor taco.

Great “food truck” style food while hopping around downtown Gilbert. The casadilla, nachos, and tacos were all a hit.

Food is great but service is terrible to the point I almost canceled my order another table next to us mentioned they also experienced horrible service from the cashier. We were all respectful and comments were made from a very annoyed employee complaining how we ordered to go but sat at a table I let her know we were waiting for our Uber she continued to show anger to the fact we were sitting down mine you I was still waiting for my food. The table next to us mentioned they also had a bad experience and she also made comments to them and for this reason I won’t be back if you are upset about having customers then why be home.

Me and the husband have been making Midnight Taco date night every Friday since we discovered this place (thanks in part to the community impact article in the newspaper). The food is amazing. The service is excellent. And the music is great. The stand and the storefront are equally awesome. Can’t recommend any higher. Joyride taco used to be my first choice downtown, but no more. My first choice everytime for excellent tacos. I go with the carne asada tacos. Hubs chooses the el pastor. Nachos are great as are burritos. First choice has to be the tacos though.

Perfect late night food after partying Portions were big so definitely getting money’s worth. Our group shared chicken nachos, carne asada quesadilla, al pastor burrito and carne asada nachos. All super good, also loved the salsa verde! The workers were nice and food prepared quickly, also loved the music playing and a few tables available to relax and enjoy! Definitely worth checking out!
