Midnight Oil is an independent coffeeshop & cafe established in 1997 in the heart of Searcy, Arkansas.
Though rooted in a small town, we hold ourselves to big standards—serving thoughtfully sourced coffee and espresso, house-made syrups, and a seasonal menu of lunch, brunch, and baked goods—all baked in-house.
You’ll find our signature drinks and staples on the menu, alongside rotating specials that reflect what’s fresh, comforting, or inspiring us at the moment.
Midnight Oil was the first of its kind in Searcy, founded by Matt and Mandy West—a young transplant couple who saw a need and took it upon themselves to meet it. MO was loved then, and is loved now, for offering a warm and welcoming space for students, locals, and out-of-towners

10/10 across the board. Picked this place randomly on my route in Arkansas, all the way from New Orleans! The most precious coffee shop I’ve ever visited! Delicious pastries and coffee, cozy environment, friendly staff. LOOOOOOOVE IT. Deceptively spacious.

My favorite coffee shop in Searcy (when they are open). Great coffee, great atmosphere…worth the hour drive to get there IF THEY WERE OPEN. Closed at 6pm on a Saturday night. No updated hours on Google. No response to my Facebook message from a week ago. Just closed. So disappointed. I remember the days when “Midnight Oil” was actually open until midnight like every good coffeehouse should be!

I’m not a coffee drinker so I’ve never had the coffee here, but I have definitely gone here plenty of times to study, hang out with my friends, and sometimes I bring my crochet stuff and crochet on one of the couches they have. It’s cozy and quiet and a great place to study. It’s also a Harding student favorite!

Best coffee on our trip to Arkansas. Drip coffee was stellar! Vanilla cinnamon latte also delicious. Baked goods top notch. My kind of place. Cozy home-like atmosphere with lots of places to sit and various choices of comfy furniture. Love the artwork on the wall and all the attention to details. Perfect place to work for college students or professionals but also casual to just hang out with a great cop of coffee!!! Ample Outdoor seating available too!

Always a delight to frequent here, lovely ambiance and friendly people. Delicious treat and food options and an array of amazing coffee options. There’s always something new to try!
Also awesome indoor and outdoor seating for the warmer months.

True coffee lovers alert! This place has an excellent array of quality coffee and food. Their sandwich “the untitled” allured me with their name but I was happily surprised with a chicken avocado sandwich on focaccia bread. Their honey vanilla latte was excellent. This would be a great place for a casual date or to read a book and people watch. The staff was very friendly and had great service.

Stopped in and had a meeting while drinking some amazing coffee. It was very accommodating conversation areas. The volume was very low with the amount of people there.

Stopped at this beautiful gem of a place dropping off my daughter at church camp. The staff are the absolute sweetest and their coffee and frittata were delicious!!
The vibe/decor is super cute too – allows for studying or small group gatherings.

Food is good. Coffee wasn’t. I used to love midnight oil but lately it feels like a different place completely. Employees are rude, coffee quality is terrible, and you have to wait 15 minutes if you order any food. Not worth it, truly disappointed.

Giving you 5 stars cause I’m not trying to hurt your business but I have delivered groceries to you guys several times and you don’t tip the people that stock your shelves. Just do better please. You have to zero out a tip to make it no tip. And we are sub contractors. We live off tips. Do better.
