We ate on the terrace, overlooking the Lake. Great cheese plate, tasty flatbread, exotic desserts. The chef knows cheeses, speaking as a longtime student of French cheeses and wines. The wines were prices at 3x retail. The beer is reasonable. Extremely helpful and friendly server. We will definitely return.

We attended the Easter Sunday Buffet at 3 p.m. The food presentation was poor and selection was not what we would expect for $23.95. There was not beef or ham roast being freshly carved; in fact there was no beef, only thin slices of lamb and ham in covered containers, kept warm probably since 10 a.m.
Desserts were tiny commercially made and not very tasty. There was only one kind of potatoes, which were good but seemed like they had been prepared hours before. Some salads were good. The chocolate fountain looked messy with spills all over and strawberries were cut in pieces. All in all, we have been at beautiful buffets worth the money charged. This was not one of them. We will never go to Midi’s again. We had a bad lunch twice in the past, so we’ll go elsewhere from now on.

Was very disappointed with this restaurant. Took nearly an hour to get our food with less than half of the dining room full. Food was OK but not for the price.
I had a Reuben sandwich with cream of mushroom soup. Sandwich was OK and the soup was rather bland. My wife ordered the Chicken with Fig Brie and Asparagus soup. The chicken was moist but the potatoes were obviously overcooked/burnt. Asparagus soup was not very good.
Service was very poor. Server gave false promises regarding the wait. I asked for the ticket right after receiving our entrees and in the end we ended up having to wait 10 minutes after we finished before being able to pay. It would have ended up longer but I decided to pay by cash rather than my debit card because we didn’t feel like waiting any longer.
Overall a very disappointing anniversary dinner.

I had an excellent experience at Midi’s. The service was swift and authentically personable. A live accordionist serenaded my girlfriend and I which delighted me. This is a “fancy for Duluth” restaurant. The food was spectacular and plentiful. It was a little expensive. But, what it cost, it made up for in experience.

Went here for Sunday brunch a few weeks ago on a day trip to Duluth…not impressed. Coffee was only luke warm, the omelette I received was really tiny, and definitely not worth the money. Decor was dated. The only good thing about this place is the view.

We ate here and loved it! If we lived up here it would probably be our favorite restaurant. The food was fabulous and the service was great. We have eaten at the owner’s other restaurant, “The Winzer Stube,” and the owner has not let us down!!!

They deserve 5 stars just for their mushroom soup and the view from the patio; both are great!

Food was not that tasteful. And it was pricy. But, has great view on Lake Superior.
