Recommended by my cousin. Ordered a 4 piece fish basket with okra. Everything was fresh, hot and cooked to perfection! Including the adult pie!!
I couldn’t wait and ate almost the whole plate before getting home, 13 mins away. I wish they had more fish for the price because they were small pieces of fish.
Overall I would recommend as a 2nd or 3rd option due to quantity.

Quite possibly the worst BBQ I’ve ever had in my life! I don’t normally give a bad review, but this one place doesn’t deserve the 4.3 stars it has.
I walked up to the window, and saw neighborhood favorite 2023. Right away I got excited and was thinking I was going to get some great food. I asked the lady at the window what was good, their specialties, and favorites. Right away she said Ribs, Brisket, followed by fish. So being the food enthusiast I am, I ordered a half rack of ribs, and a Brisket sandwich. Came to a grand total of $30 (no sideds) Good BBQ is expensive so my expectations grew higher.
I sat down in my truck as, I am a passer byer opened the plate of ribs, saw decent color and then I did the pull test. They had great pull, the tenderness was pretty spot on. My expectations then grew even higher.
I then took a bite into a rib! The disappointment began and it wasn’t just a regular disappointment it was a disappointment i hadn’t had in food in a really long time. The ribs had no flavor at all, and tasted like they had been cooked in an oven. Not even a salty or smokey taste. I tried the BBQ sauce to try and give it some flavor. The BBQ sauce tasted like KC masterpiece out of a bottle.
I put the Ribs on the dash in hopes of the Brisket sandwich being better. I unfolded the paper wrapping that the sandwich was in took a look and immediately knew it wasn’t going to be great Brisket. I still took a good sized bit and chewed away. It was rubbery and not cooked properly. I spit it out.
Needless to say I threw my $30 meal in the trash, which I normally would never do, as I grew up without much and my mother always taught me not to waste. That should tell you how bad my experience was.

Mick’s BBQ is one of those places you’ll drive past a hundred times if you don’t know what you’re looking for—but you’d be missing out. Tucked away on MacArthur Drive, this hole-in-the-wall spot is a true hidden gem. The barbecue is authentic Southern comfort food, done right, and it’s become a family favorite for us. The meat is flavorful and satisfying, and the sides really shine—especially the baked beans, potato salad, and coleslaw, which are all excellent additions to any meal. If you’re looking for real BBQ without the hype, Mick’s is absolutely worth stopping for. Pick up only, no dining room.

This is nice little food shack on the side of the road. If you are visiting, highly recommend it. The fish are crisp and meats on point. I like to stop by and get a fish plate ever so often. I have heard any complaints from co workers. They did remove the picnic tables that was on the outside. A true ToGo shack.

Ray is doing something that everyone needs to experience. Old school BBQ shack with a few picnic tables outside. It reminds me of childhood.

Onto the food! This huge seafood roll is to die for. Smoked shrimp, crab and chicken, perfectly seasoned chicken and nestled in a garlic roll! 10/10

The lemon cheesecake was simple but very refreshing and good on a 100+ degree day!

Thankfully I live down the street so I’ll be back, but if you don’t live close, CROSS THE BRIDGE. You won’t be disappointed.

Catfish was not fresh. Fish appears to be old. Fries and hush puppies were burnt and old.

I got there at 6:55. Open sign was still lit up. The posted hours showed they were supposed to be open until 8pm. The worker (who was smoking a cigarette inside the shack) said they closed at 7. Forget these guys. Save your stomach and go somewhere sanitary.
