Comfort Food Lunch
The food is pretty good. There is a little twist on most dishes that I have tasted. Overall pleasant. I’m pleased for the chance to get a homestyle meal at a reasonable price.

This place has moved several times. The food remains good. They were busy on this visit and it took us a while to get our order. I believe that everything is cooked to order. The servers were really good on that day. It was a long, but the wait was comfortable. We rewarded with hot, fresh and tasty food. The French toast was served with a donut glaze sauce which made the French toast a unique experience.
They have great food, but my food service has been extremely slow on every visit. They could use the help of a food prep professional to help them improve their service. All that said I recommend this place. Just don’t go starving or when you are in a hurry.

They are very friendly and there food was well worth the drive for me. I have never had anything like it. Even there kids cheesy macaroni was way better than expected.

Mick & Shirley’s has moved several times, and my husband and I wanted to check out the newest place. We visited on a Friday morning after checking google to make sure they were open. We walked in and we were the only customers which felt a little strange but our server was attentive and the food was the best part. clean plate club. I had the french toast sandwich and my huband the chicken and french toast.Fast forward a week to the next Friday and we decided to come back for that french toast only to find the place closed. Google said they dont open till 11 now. We had to find somwhere else to go for breakfast. So we tried the place across the parking lot. Hands down you have better breakfast.! I didnt enjoy my breakfast that morning, Friday the 13. Hope they open back up for breakfast in the future.

Took my parents to lunch here today because I’d heard the food was amazing and they love to try new, local restaurants when they visit. The food was indescribably good! I had the beef brisket sandwich, the meat was so tender and well seasoned that I couldn’t bear to smother it with bread. That was fine because the bun was buttered and a little garlic seasoned so was tasty on its own. The coleslaw was everything it should be a usually isn’t. Not too sweet, not soggy or swimming in liquid. My Mom had the grilled chicken wrap and the taste I had was a flavor explosion with the most perfect chicken. I don’t care for grilled chicken because it always is a bit dry, but this chicken was as tender and flavorful as beef, but unknown, chicken-y. My Dad had the chicken quesadilla and I didn’t try it until after I was back home and yet it was still perfection. The owner and master Chef stopped by to greet us at the end of our meal and I mentioned I had been tempted by the French Toast and Chicken, just to try the chicken because I’m not a fan of French Toast and he assured me I’d have loved his; then he got me a sample of some and no joke, it was a cross between a sweet glazed donut, but even closer to a fair funnel cake. So yes, definitely going to be trying many more offerings and thanking my lucky stars Mick & Shirley’s came to Tallmadge.

I know this place just opened so there are going to be issues.
There were only 3 other tables when we sat down. We had to tell the server 3 times we were waiting on 2 other people before we ordered. They are extremely limited on what to order to drink. No ice tea or hot tea which is very odd.
After we ordered it took 1 hour no joke to get all of our food. It all came out at a different time frame. Again also odd! To wait an hour for breakfast is absurd. The waffle was hard and the scrambled eggs were undercooked. (Runny whites)
This place gives little to desire as there are only just tables in a room. Nothing on the walls and what is up with the huge speaker in the corner with loud music?
I kept hearing from friends the ribs are excellent but I don’t see myself going back ever to find out.
Spare yourselves the time and go to the dinner 2 businesses over. Never been there but it has to have far better servers and food than this place. You can tell by how much busier they are.

Young lady that waited on me was very nice. It was my second time dining in here for breakfast. It was very quiet a nice selection of music playing and very clean. I will return and try a lunch order very soon.
