My wife suprised me with lunch here and it was excellent. I had the Tuna Sushi Bento Box which came with salad, Miso soup, two Tempura shrimp and six pieces of Tuna roll and two Tuna Nigiri. My wife had the Sushi lunch combo for $18.99 which came with salad, Miso soup and combination of Sushi and Negeri. Everything was excellent and the service very good. We would definitely eat here again.

QUALITY IS IN DETAIL
Casual dining place.
We like the dishes. All fresh prepared and served.
I believe there is an opportunity for improvement for the service, however we would recommend everyone for dinner or lunch.

Another thing is they are using pork broth for many dishes. If you have concerns about it make sure mention it to the service.

The ramen was delicious and they accomodated an adjustment of adding spicy oil to my tonkotsu. The broth was delicious. The chashu was torched which added a smoky delicious flavor, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the marinated egg flavorful. The waiter was a sweetheart as well. I definitely recommend. I love ramen and this was very authentic and it was cute and clean inside the resturant. Also great price. 17 after tax

Poor service, we ordered 1 sushi combo and 2 ramen, but it take them 45′ to bring it up even the restaurant was almost empty at that time. Meanwhile, their server didn’t take care of us (no menu nor water) and seems very rude and unprofessional. About the food, the miso came with sushi was incredibly salty, 2 ramens were nothing special compare to other Japanese restaurant. Overall I’m not recommend this shop at all.

I went to check out Saturday evening. The place was pretty packed, but I had a blast with the YUM YUM spicy ramen. I love seeing the open kitchen. It’s like you can see the hygiene conditions right there. This place looked really clean. I’ll definitely be back.

This Japanese restaurant is our go-to spot for special occasions. The Spicy Ramen was absolutely delicious! I did want to mention something about the service we experience. Our plates and bowls were getting picked up before we were finished eating. I would have understand if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t. As a server myself, I always ask permission before clearing plates as a sign of respect, but I understand every restaurant does things differently. We will for sure come back still and we love supporting small businesses.

I recently visited a Japanese restaurant and had the pleasure of trying several dishes: Japanese curry, Tonkatsu ramen, and Beef Gyudon with rice.

The Japanese curry was rich and comforting, with a deep, savory flavor that balanced the spices perfectly. The sauce had a velvety smooth texture, and it paired wonderfully with the tender vegetables and meat. It was hearty, yet not overwhelming.

The Tonkatsu ramen was a standout. The broth had a full-bodied richness, deeply flavorful and just the right level of creaminess. The Tonkatsu pork was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and melted in your mouth. The noodles were perfectly cooked and absorbed the broth well.

The Beef Gyudon with rice was simple yet satisfying. The beef was tender and flavorful, glazed in a sweet soy-based sauce that complemented the fluffy rice beneath it. The dish felt wholesome and perfectly balanced in flavor.

As for the service, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. The atmosphere was peaceful and calming, offering a great environment for enjoying a meal. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that left me wanting to return.

I don’t like writing reviews usually, however I was completely disappointed with the quality of food and service. Maybe the new owners are trying to be more ramen focused, judging by the reviews. The sushi rolls were subpar, tasted stale and the fish was questionable. I have never had a dark purple tuna roll before. Always a fresh pink. The server didn’t seem impressed to serve from the moment we sat down. Maybe he was having a bad day. They didn’t even give extra soy sauce for 5 rolls. The ginger was even discoloured. I love all Asian food, but was not happy with this place.

This place is a hidden gem. I’ve tried almost all of the sushi restaurants in Niagara Falls but Michinoku is my absolute favourite. Their fish is always so fresh and their selection of sushi is so delicious. The service is very fast and friendly, and their price is very affordable compared to other sushi restaurants.

Overall I’d say that this place has the best sushi from the region. Highly recommend.

Craving sushi and being tourists, we stumbled upon Michinoku Episode 2 via Google – and were so glad.

Ordering one lunch combo, along with two rolls, miso soup, and seaweed salad, every bite tasted wonderful. The food, be it sashimi or sushi, was presented beautifully.

A party of two, the mentioned order was a satisfying amount. Parking was also easy, which is helpful! We would definitely come back again.
