Cute little place. Staff was extremely kind and very friendly. It was quiet and cozy, we were there for lunch. Had a savory pizza flight and the dessert pizza flight, no apps. I would try a full size pizza or an entrée next time. Very nice people.

It was our first time at Michelina’s, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Rachel’s service was outstanding—she guided us through the menu with so much patience and gave us great recommendations. If you visit, definitely ask to be seated in her section. The salad was fresh and delicious, and the Nutella pizza… what can I say? Absolutely incredible. Everything we tried was fantastic. We’ll definitely be coming back!

INCREDIBLE experience!!! The owner herself served us and the hype did NOT disappoint! The flight was incredible, it was hard to choose a favorite pizza out of the 6 we got (our famous clam was our favorite). The owner let us sample the pistachio martini and it was amazing, didn’t expect to like it but was HOOKED! We ended with a full pistachio martini and the banana cheesecake crisp and OH MY GOODNESS ! Just reviewed our time with my husband, truly the BEST dining experience we have both ever experienced between the homey atmosphere, genuine hospitality and outstanding, flavorful food. 10/10 recommend! an hour away but WILL be back!

Service was ok. We weren’t offered water or a menu upon sitting down—I actually had to ask for water myself.
While I only had drinks, the prices for a regular beer are quite high. I can’t comment on the taste of the food, but the pizzas being served next to me looked incredibly dry and did not smell appetizing.
The biggest issue is the hidden 18% automatic gratuity, even for sitting at the bar. This wasn’t mentioned upfront. This is the only place I’ve encountered in New Haven that forces a tip on the bill regardless of party size or service quality. I prefer to tip based on the service received; in this case, given the lack of attention, 10% would have been more appropriate. Be aware of your bill before you pay!

My partner came across this place on social media and wanted to try their pizza flights. They also have a vegan menu which was great for me. We were a party of 6 – 4 adults and 2 kids. Keep in mind, the place was empty. We ordered drinks and had to remind the waitress of my brother in law’s wine twice. We ordered our food – 1 pizza flight, 2 small pizzas, 1 large pizza and wings. A bit after our order was placed, the waitress came back and asked if I wanted the vegan dough which I thought was confusing since I ordered one of their vegan pizzas. My assumption was that the dough was vegan so I recommend clarifying when ordering. All the food came out except my vegan pizza. By the time it arrived everyone was almost done eating. The bill came and was almost $200 which is in my opinion a lot for a basic pizza place. That included an 18% automatic gratuity. The pizza flight was $36. This price was not advertised on the menu and the amount of pizza was about a small so that was quite pricy. I was also charged an extra $7.50 for my pizza. We paid the bill in cash and the waitress asked if I needed change. I said yes since gratuity was already included. My change should have been a little over $5 and the waitress came back and handed me a $5 bill not acknowledging the missing change. It was less than a dollar so I let it go but honestly, who takes it upon themselves to just not give a customer all of their change and say nothing about it. Overall, the super slow service, my food coming out after everyone else was done and the insane bill which was incorrect, we all agreed that it was bad enough of an experience that we’d never go back. Not somewhere I’d ever recommend due to the service alone but the food was ok. Nothing was bad. Just nothing to write home about.

I had the pleasure of dining at Michelina’s Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming – the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a great meal or a drink.
The staff was exceptional across the board, but I want to give a special shout-out to my server, Lissa. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. Lissa went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. Her positive energy and genuine hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
As for the food, it was delicious and well-prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in both the quality and presentation. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Whether you’re there for dinner or just to grab a drink, you won’t be disappointed.
Michelina’s is truly a gem – ideal for a nice night out or just a chill spot to have a drink and relax. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We started with the mozzarella sticks which were cooked to perfection with the stringy pull apart cheese, The Supra was amazing with its Hot Honey addition, the Happy Hour margaritas with fried dough bites were a great addition to playing table top games while waiting for food! 10/10 I cannot recommend this enough for anyone to go to and have a perfect meal for a great price!!!!! Will definitely be coming back.
