The draw back with this establishment is the service and the attention to detail,
Firstly when we arrived. We were seated and after a good 10–15 minutes our table had to ask staff for table water even though there were glasses on the tables.
Placing our orders for drinks which came out fairly slow.
Entrees just 2 x slices of room temperature bread, moving one to starters the zucchini flowers had a nice presentation however very under seasoned, the trio of arancini was the star, fluffy and flavoursome. The prawn ravioli was undercooked and chewy.
Main was a veal scallopini which was cooked well, however the cuts of meat were inconsistently cooked, heavily salted also. The mash resembled Deb instant mash.
The disaster was the dessert, a freezing cold plate clearly straight from the freezer, the ice cream tasted like strawberry and vanilla Neapolitan ice cream from Coles the lemon meringue was sickly sweet and inedible, the other two items only just made it over the line, and to be honestly the biscuit crumbs on the plate was the best part.
Staff seemed to lack direction and training and we were never asked for any further drinks throughout the night and main tables where left dirty with piles of plates and glass where along with our table where we physically moved all of our glassware and plates to another table which still even then staff walk right past to lean around the bar / counter area.
Along with trying to charge for a cocktail we ordered half an hour before that never actually arrived.
Considering our table spend $600+ and a first time customer I wouldn’t rush back.

The oysters did have a hint of smell to them, but we reckon it should be alright.
I don’t like the pizza much here therefore I had some linguine vongole which was really delicious!! We also ordered lamb Ragu and chicken cream spaghetti with some garlic breads and warm big olives with rosemary which reminds me of traditional Italian one …. Red Barrosa Valley large glass of wine. And rocket salad with Parmesan cheese and pears slices. For Dessert, we had a cream caramel brûlée and Tiramisu and espresso. We also ordered a Pepperoni woodfired pizza to take home for my kid.
We really enjoyed dinner here again and hope to come back soon!We come here every couple months with some friends or date night. I tried to order something I never order this time.

The food all tasted amazing, my only issue is that some of the presentations were to my liking but that’s just preference. The staff was really lovely and the prices were very reasonable. For 5 people with about 7 drinks, 4 entrees, 5 mains, and 5 desserts the price was $457.
Would definitely recommend coming here.
Disappointing & clearly don’t want people to return.
The food was amazing
Especially gnocchi it’s one of the best I’ve eaten melted in mouth
After taking our order. It took another half hour for it to be served. We were served the housemade bread with garlic butter. The garlic butter tasted ok but the bread was barely hot that the butter dosent melt. The bread also didnt seem like it rose enough. It was a bit gummy.
The arancini was pretty good. It was flavourful.
We got the bosciola pasta and it wasnt tasty. We asked for more cheese to add saltiness, but the cheese they gave us barely taste like anything. We had to ask for salt to make the pasta taste better.
For the pizza, we got the prosciutto pizza. The sauce and toppings tasted really good. However the bread again is a let down. The crust is still a bit gummy. And the pizza was a bit pale and could be cooked a bit more.
Overall i would rate it 3.5 the food was almost good, theres just always something missing. And the service is not great
On top of that, the staff at the front forgot our salad, and I had to remind them to bring it out not a huge deal, but it added to the overall lack of care.
This used to be a great little restaurant with friendly service and generous, flavour-packed pizzas. Sadly, it feels like the quality has really slipped. Possibly under new management? The lack of replies to other negative reviews seems to show they’re not too concerned with customer feedback either.
It’s a real shame and we won’t be returning.
If you ever want a great pizza, napolis in Springwood have got the goods.. regret not driving a bit further up the mountain for an actual decent pizza made with love
