My first time at Michael’s , was for New Year’s Eve. Everything was wonderful !
1. It is female black owned which makes it even better. The owner came to serve us and take our orders . She was friendly , humbled, & made sure we were taken care of .
2. The fried tomatoes with the sauce was amazing .i ordered the 12 ounce steak with Mac & just WOW. The steak was one of the best steaks i ever had. The seasoning was perfect , and the steak was cooked to perfection.
3. For dessert I ordered the bread pudding . It had Carmel & nuts … Oh my God , talking about AMAZING! The pudding was so smooth & mouth watering.
4. Now let’s talk about the prices. They had a pick 5 menu. Appetizers, salad or soup, main course, dessert, with a complimentary wine . Now most places pick 3 is around $100 dollars , so by this being a pick 5 we were thinking around $160 maybe more ( which we was prepared because it was something we wanted).. Nope that wasn’t the case ! Everyone bill was right at $90-$100 INCLUDING TIP. We was in awe ! All that amazing food & hospitality for such a good price.
5. I really enjoyed Michael’s . This is about to be one of my new favorites in Birmingham. To the owner thank you for taking care of me & my girls . I pray that you AND your business is filled with blessings, abundance, & prosperity. Keep up the good work !

1st time at Michael’s tonight for a catered banquet & everything was great! Greeted as soon as we walked through the doors. We were upstairs & it was a very welcoming atmosphere with sophisticated artwork. Going outside on the rooftop was a whole vibe in itself. The food was amazing & made with so much love. Definitely coming back!

I enjoyed myself so much! My organization needed a place to have our annual Dinner in Denim perfume swap event and the owner Mrs Bernadine was so accommodating! From start to finish everything was taken care of so that we could enjoy our night! Did not disappoint and we will definitely be back!

Very overpriced for just average food. The bread was good. Spinach dip was ok.
Shrimp & grits, which i love, was very underwhelming. Burger was ok. My husband got lamb, and said about half of it was cooked perfect. The other half…not so much. Got their “award winning” bread pudding. Another disappointment.
When we arrived, we were the only customers there. However, it took quite awhile to prepare the meals considering there were no other customers. No customers showed up the whole time we were there. That says quite a bit!
They also automatically charge you a 20% tip. It was almost $400 for 4 adults, and 2 kids, which would have been fine had we received a quality meal, and not had such a long wait for our food.

First off let me say come on… black female business…yyyeeessss!!! The ambiance is nice, music vibe is nice. It’s spacious and open not crowded and cluttered. Table service was top tier. Now I will say a few of the dishes were not my fave (appetizer wise) we were there later in the day close to closing so I understand. I will go back earlier to get the full experience. But I loved my main course and the spinach dip so I’ll take that as a win.

Michaels was a wonderful display of terrific cuisine,superb service and a spectacular experience. I had the Caesar Salad and a side of Mac and cheese. The atmosphere was upscale and laid-back with a side of relatability. The owner was one of the most friendly and welcoming people I have ever met. I give it five stars and definitely would suggest you try it for yourself and I look forward to going again. Hats off to the chef!

I finally got a chance to stop by Michael’s Restaurant. One thing I immediately noticed about the food is that it’s well presented and “no fuss.” Michael’s sticks to good food without a lot of frills. I can appreciate that. I wasn’t that into the bread pudding. I am very specific with this dessert and expected a different recipe.

Michael’s catered our baseball banquet, and let me just say — they exceeded every expectation. We all know how “banquet food” usually goes… cold chicken, bland sides, nothing to write home about. But Michael’s? Top. Tier.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. Guests were raving about the meal all night long and honestly couldn’t stop singing its praises. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and plated with care. It elevated the entire event.
