Went in tonight on a friday night. Couple open tables. Was told to sit where ever, sat down and waited. Took 15 min to get drinks (soda and water) took order and took over an hour and 15 min to get a rueban and the “big pig” came out overcooked and with the sauce that was asked for on the side. Samwhich wasn’t as menu described. When asked for a manager to voice my concern about the timing when tables that were sat after us had already got their food. And we still hadnt gotten ours. Was informed they dont have a manager on friday night. And things seemed be in a bismall between staff.

Made a quick pit stop here on our way to a New Year’s Eve party just in case they didn’t have a bunch of food ready since we hadn’t ate. The place actually had a pretty cool atmosphere. All of the food we got was really good and are waitress was super attentive and helpful when it came to making selections. Wasn’t sure what to expect before stopping here but for sure would not mind coming back! Check it out if you haven’t be for, I’m sure you won’t be upset 🙂

This place always knocks it out of the park! Easily the best BBQ south of Detroit and they do rotating bourbon specials as well! The building has a ton of history to it and the staff has always been attentive and friendly every time we’ve been here.

This place is absolutely incredible! The food, staff, environment, and owners are the best. They are a hard-working family who cares about their customers and food quality. We dined with our family and kids, and we all loved everything, from the brisket to the cornbread to the max and cheese. As a bonus, we got to meet the owner, who is so kind and so welcoming.

I was just having an argument with a friend a few weeks ago about some of the best burgers downriver. I pick joes, he picks drinks, but this place wins. In my 8 years in Rockwood I have never been here. I will be back for more burgers. 10/10.

Service was outstanding. Brisket, sausage and coleslaw were great. Table side BBQ sauces were underwelming except the honey musturd sauce and the corn muffin smelled and tasted spoiled.

This is a local spot with good beer prices at $2.50 and specials starting around 2 p.m. The food is good, greasy bar food. If you know what I mean, then you know. It’s not usually a family place, but during the dinner hour you’ll see a few. It’s not wild or crazy, just older folks sitting around, talking about the old times.
