There’s a small Italian spot tucked into the corner of the Springs Plaza, and it honestly blew me away more than I expected. I started with the Italian wedding soup, and you can tell immediately it’s made in-house, the broth has real depth, the veggies still have that fresh bite, and the meatballs are tender, seasoned well, and absolutely not the frozen or canned kind. It tastes like something someone’s grandmother actually simmered that morning.
The turkey, capacolla, and cheese sub was toasted perfectly so the bread had a light crunch without being hard. They piled it with fresh shredded lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and just the right hit of vinegar and oil, simple, but done exactly the way it should be.
The homemade meatball sub was another standout. Soft bread, rich red sauce, and those same incredible meatballs. Comfort food done right.
But the biggest surprise? The house-made croutons on the Caesar salad. They’re not the generic dry cubes you get everywhere else, these were warm, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and a little soft inside. Honestly, they ended up being one of my favorite things on the table.
Overall, a small place with big flavor and great service. I’d go back just for the soup and those croutons alone.

First of all my entire order should have come to $20.54 that’s the first point the second point is look at these pathetic chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks and look at the chicken tender that looks just like a mozzarella stick please tell me you would be happy about paying $25 for this order? I am not I am completely disgusted and the fact that my niece and nephew are here visiting after a tragic family event and this is the food I have to give them I am horrified and I believe that you absolutely owe me a big fix on this! That is if you want me to keep coming back! I did call however you don’t answer your phone past 9:50 p.m. which is also ridiculous so I’m posting this here.
The fact that the remaining french fries from the chicken tender and the mozzarella order after half had been consumed can fill a whole entire takeout box is in fact a problem! Why do you think my niece and nephew need to eat this many fries? And why did we get popcorn chicken when we actually ordered chicken tenders?!

Great little Italian restaurant!
We have had their pizza and hot sandwiches so far. We also had a caprese salad. Everything we have tried has been great and servers are super!
We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza at 9:30 p.m. Saturday October 26th
Employees were cleaning up and staring at the t.v. screen, maybe there was a game on… They weren’t closed till 10:00 p.m. anyways. Got my pizza but did not check it till I got home and when I bit into it all I tasted was burnt crust. Turned it over and sure enough. It was burnt. My dog would not even eat it. They will not refund me because I did not call them the same day..Well they were closed by the time I left. Do better guys.

After my mother’s surgery today, she expressed an interest in eating Italian. I was thrilled to get her anything she wanted, as eating was crucial. I ordered take-out from Micheal Anthony’s. My order of Chicken Marsala and garlic knots was ready when I arrived. The portions were average. However, the quality left much to be desired. The chicken tasted as though it had been cooked days before, with some Marsala poured over it. Thank goodness, that the pasta accompanying the chicken was good, as that was all my mother ate.The chicken could not be eaten. The garlic knots were bland and extremely dense, as though the dough had not risen long enough. How do you screw-up garlic knots? Sadly, my mother’s post surgery dinner was both disastrous and disappointing, to say the least. The meal, other than the pasta, was given a final resting place in our garbage can. This is not the first time I have been disappointed with Micheal Anthony’s. I have always given second chances. Nonetheless, I am not a believer in third chances. I will not waste my time and my money again. Danine & Evie Perdue

Had a great lunch here. Excellent pizza, super friendly service, and highly recommend. I knew the moment I walked in it was going to be good—the place has a classic 90s New York vibe. It definitely didn’t disappoint.

This has been our goto pizza spot for a couple years. They offer a texas chicken pizza. Its not the same as a buffalo chicken pizza. Much better in my opinion. We ordered 3 pizzas tonight along with wings and 2 k8ds spaghetti. Its Saturday nite so you know they are swamped. Doesn’t bother me gotta be patient. They are all clearly working as hard as they can. Its a bustling kitchen. I should have checked before I got home but I was accidentally given the wrong pizza. I called and let them know. The girl working the cash register and taking orders was very apologetic and said they’d get the pizza started and to come back in. The pizza was ready she continued to apologize and was very polite. Thank you guys.

Stopped here after a recommendation from a local. The loaded bacon fries were a hit, the portions are exceptionally generous, the service was quick and friendly. I had the meatball sub and the Meatballs tasted very processed, definitely freezer to table. The Stromboli was very greasy and the pepperoni took over the flavor from all other ingredients. I probably would not come back. They have a large menu so there could be some other gems in addition to the fries.

Reviews are all about the experience and the opinion of the reviewer. I wish I could offer a better review here.
I ordered pizza from here a couple of years ago, and I was uninspired then, but I thought I’d give it another go. So I ordered a pizza with black olives & extra cheese for pickup. The best thing I can say is it was hot and ready when promised.
The crust tastes flat and dense. It struggles to find a place between thin and thick. The sauce? Also flat. It’s not a good sign when you lift the lid of your pizza box and your “extra” cheese pizza is red and oily looking (see photos). It’s also not a good sign when you take a bite and the cheese slips the pizza. To me, that screams cheap cheese.
↪️ IMHO, the pizza here is just not good. You can do better elsewhere in Homosassa.
