★ Food & Drinks: She ordered the combo of the day (pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon) with a hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. I had the steak and eggs (medium well) with two pieces of wheat toast with butter and home fries. We also both got fresh orange juice, which was light and, honestly, the perfect “in-between,” not too strong, not too watered down.
The biggest issue was the pancakes weren’t cooked all the way, which was surprising considering it wasn’t a busy morning, and our food took about 15 minutes to come out.
★ Service: Our waitress, Adriana, was friendly and courteous, especially when my partner asked to replace the undercooked pancakes with toasted bread. Adriana was also more attentive than the other waitresses, though we wouldn’t have minded if she had checked in a bit sooner before the food arrived (even a quick “need any refills?”). Overall, we were happy to have her as our waitress.
★ Atmosphere: The restaurant was cozy and warm, noise level was moderate, and the tables were clean. There were a few crumbs on the chair, but we just wiped them off. The chairs were comfortable, and the natural light mixed with the overhead lighting created a really nice balance.
★ Space: The tables are close together, if you’re bringing a full party, I would not recommend it, especially on a packed day.
★ Value: Price-wise, we spent around $62 (before tax), and I honestly don’t feel the portion size + food quality matched that cost.
★ Overall: We enjoyed our time there, but we wouldn’t go back. At that price, the food quality would need to be closer to that of a higher-end dining experience.
Everything we tasted was exceptional. The biscuits and gravy featured a soft, fluffy biscuit smothered in the smoothest, most flavorful sausage gravy we’ve ever had. The chef’s special omelet was packed with delicious smoked meats and fresh vegetables. The grits were the ideal thick and creamy texture, served with butter.
The avocado toast was a standout, topped with sweet pickled red peppers, pine nuts, and a balsamic glaze that provided the perfect acidic balance. The home fries were crispy on the outside, tender inside, and perfectly seasoned. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and so buttery and sweet, you barely need syrup.
For a truly decadent treat, the chicken and waffles are a must: a generous, crispy, well-seasoned chicken breast fillet served with a perfectly golden Belgian waffle and pure maple syrup. Don’t skip the fresh-squeezed orange juice or their smooth coffee, both are the ideal complements to the meal.
The atmosphere is the perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy comfort, with relaxing lighting and a light, welcoming vibe. Booths and tables provide plenty of comfortable seating.
Miam has instantly gone to the top of our breakfast spots in Greensboro. We can’t wait to return and try them for dinner!
A LOT can be said about this establishment and I do not have the words capable of describing or showing the amount of love I have for Miam’s. To be very clear as of writing this specific review – I have now been 3 times in as little as 2 or 3 weeks and I have uploaded multiple pictures of the various foods I have tried and shared with my wife. Let us start with the service: I would like to shout-out Cynthia, our server/waitress for the immaculate service she provided not only for us, but I assume to others as well. She is beyond pleasant to talk to and hold conversation, very friendly, and has even recommended various things to try on future visits. I want to explicitly state that in no way, shape, or form am I discounting the service or quality from the other staff. In fact their hospitality is beyond measure. You/I are greeted at the door and may even be held open for when you arrive or leave. That is true service!
I could honestly write an entire novel on the various dishes I have now tried but every one of them would probably sound repetitive simply because EVERYTHING was not only delicious, but top-tier quality. Granted, I have my favorite dish being the Shrimp and Grits… But with that said, Miam’s has the best Belgian waffle I have had from just about any establishment, best Benedicts – I’ve had the steak Benedict and chorizo Benedict – and my goodness, for those seeing this, just LOOK at the Banana Fosters French Toast! Now that, is enough is feed about 2 people! This is not a complaint however.
Another quick note to the owner if you are reading this: Please I beg of you, I know not many people out there talk about this or give them enough credit, but congratulate and praise your crew, INCLUDING the cooks/chefs in your kitchen. I don’t know if they get the praise they deserve but thank them as well for the magic they create in the kitchen. They are also a part of your well oiled machine and next to your exceptional service from your wait staff, the people in the kitchen bring everything together for an unforgettable experience. Thank you. All of you. From someone like myself who takes pride in what you do, I get that very same feeling from everyone there and it is shown or made with LOVE.
I WILL continue to support the business and return as long as you allow us to.
The atmosphere was equally impressive: clean lines, a minimalist aesthetic, and an open, spacious layout that felt both modern and welcoming. The bathrooms were spotless, and the wait staff was attentive and warm. The chef even came out personally to apologize for a small error in our order, which spoke volumes about the level of care and hospitality.
My partner ordered the banana French toast—something I don’t typically eat—but he thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion, however, was enormous—large enough to feed eight to ten people. While generous, I’d recommend slightly smaller portions for the French toast and pancakes to better balance presentation and experience.
Overall, this is definitely a place I’ll return to and recommend
To begin, the staff were attentive but did not hover. service was timely and the atmosphere was a warm and relaxed vibe.
Now to the FOOD!
I ordered a crab cake with a side of the pesto goat cheese grits. Yes, you heard me. Pesto and goat cheese grits.
I’m a slut for pesto so there was no question about me ordering this when I saw it. Three words that I would never have put together made this trifecta of fresh and creamy, comfy and cozy deliciousness. I’ll be dreaming about it for awhile.
The crab cake was perfectly cooked, not too bready, thinner and crispier than you usually find and I enjoyed it. The remoulade on the side stole the show! Clearly made by the ghost of Julia Child herself, the flavors sang in harmony with the crab.
The menu has “healthier” options along with sweets and heavier lunch options.
I’m going to have to try the monte cristo next!
Grits, French toast, and chicken sausage are tasty. The pancakes are nothing special, and the hash browns in my order were so hard they were inedible. My kids did not eat them. I’ve ordered from the high point location and the experience was the total opposite, and it was through DoorDash at that. So to order from this location, take the time to pull up to pick up the order and be underwhelmed is not ideal.
Would give them another try because it was ordered on a Saturday and it was very busy so maybe the staff was a bit more careless than usual. Otherwise, I might take the extra time to drive to another town just to get consistent quality.
