So authentic. A coworker brought me here and I was blown away. Got the ginger bread pastry in the shape of a pig, yellow light airy pastry with a strawberry jam in the center (circle shape). It was like 4$! Couldn’t believe it! Also lunch was fantastic! Couldn’t tell you what it was other that Al pastor, cactus, and like a wrapped been burrito/quesadilla thing. Sooo good! Can’t wait to go back.

We come here with friends on the weekends and it’s always busy. I’ve had tortas and some of their blue corn goods and they’re always very good. The chorizo can be very messy, so grab some napkins. My husband has gotten the tacos a couple of times and gives them a fair review of above average. He also always gets the horchata and loves it. The last time we went we tried some of the baked goods for the first time. My favorite was the churro heart that we took home and dipped in hot chocolate. This place is pretty solid and I’m always down for a place I can get tacos with friends.

80% Bakery and 20% Restraunt. I visited for the pastries and got two bags full. Chaotic neighborhood location. Good pastries and prices.

I came here for their pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). I tried a concha and a yoyo. Conchas are probably the most popular and recognizable traditional Mexican pan dulce, but for the uninitiated, I would describe them as soft and sweet bread with a white streusel topping that resembles the surface of a seashell. Growing up these were my favorite pan dulce, and the ones at Mi Tradición taste just like the ones you can find in Mexican panaderías. Much less famous, yoyos are made from two pieces of bread held together by a thin layer of buttercream and coated with butter and powdered sugar. They look like yo-yo’s, hence the name, and they’re also known as besos (which means kisses, because the two pieces of bread are kissing each other). This was my first time trying yoyos, so I don’t have a point of comparison. I thought they were tasty, but my all-time favorite pan dulce remains the concha. I bought these at the end of the day, so both were a little hard, but I heated them up in the oven and that softened them up to perfection. Warming up pan dulce is a game changer.

Great panadería. Excellent fresh pan dulce at a great price. Good empanadas and conchas. Try the tortas – they’re delicious.

Brought our party of 6 in for breakfast. I am a Hispanic Houstonian bringing out of state(the north east) guests for an easy, filling, incredible meal and this place NAILED it. So easy to order and customize, even for the very particular we had no problem at all. The agua fresas were PHENOMENAL, the jamaica agua fresa was on point for sure. Its my go to and it did not disappoint. Food comes out quick and they offer a variety of salsa. The salsa varies in spice and base of pepper, I enjoyed all 3 so much we brought the extras home in our cooler. Has been awesome to have them on eggs and potatoes at home. The service was excellent, had an order error on my part, and they fixed it in literally 1 minute. Going to their panaderia attached was an easy experience and it smelled phenomenal as you’re right next to where they make all of their breads in house. We didn’t grab the fresh Tortillas but they have those too. The piña empanada and conchas were perfect but the besos were by far my favorite. 100% RECOMMENDED

Wow… now this place is a classic. Mostly Spanish speakers but if you don’t speak Spanish they are patient. One side is hit good other side is bakery. Try the Chili Rellano plate ( insanely good) and sample some breads and treats. Simple, delicious and fun.

I went there for the Cuban torta. It was a bit disappointing with little flavor. My friend ordered the flan which was a little over done and firm. I later bought some bread from the bakery and have to say it was delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside.

I love this place! I must stop in for their fabulous pastries every time I pass by. You will not be disappointed, it is a great place for your pastries that are made fresh daily plus they also have a restaurant side that has some of the best breakfast tacos and breakfast I’ve ever tried. Prices are very reasonable. Everyone should try this place.
