Pastries are a must try and are super cheap. The food is also very good (not the best Mexican I’ve ever had but still very tasty with good portion sizes). Atmosphere is a wow and the kids loved looking at everything. There is usually a wait at this place the few times we have come so plan accordingly and arrive early. Parking is a bit hard to find.

We were looking for a Great place to eat Mexican food, so we drove to San Antonio and went to Mi Tierra Cafe and they did NOT disappoint. I started off with a delicious Watermelon Margarita. Then I ordered their Mole enchiladas with rice and beans and all was so good. Everyone in my party was pleased with their meal. Our Server Cesar was so attentive and nice considering he was very busy. It was my Mother-in-law’s Birthday and they brought out a piece of cake and sang to her. The atmosphere was very nice and clean. The next day we went back for Mexican Sweet Bread and that too was so good. I will be eating here again when I go back.

We love this place!!! Every time we visit San Antonio we come here at least once if not more. Prices are reasonable especially compared to the bigger chain Mexican restaurants that their food isn’t that great but prices are way too high. Food, atmosphere and the people are awesome!! We highly recommend this place. AND you must get something from the bakery! Absolutely delicious.

This place is a must. If you are looking for an iconic place in San Antonio, look no further. The food is authentic and impressive. The drinks are strong. Expect to wait in a long line, we waited about an hour. But while you wait, they have awesome bar along with bakery shop up front and you can walk around plaza while you wait too. The food and service was top notch. the portion is huge. The park can be difficult due to street parking. Staff are friendly which enhanced our great experience.

I loved it! Had a taco salad, which isn’t authentic Mexican food, but it was still the best taco salad. Chicken is perfectly seasoned, and their salsa is absolute sinful! We stopped to have a quick bite, that why I ordered the salad… but i never imagined it was going to be that huge. The place is packed all the time. If I ever return to San Antonio, I’ll certainly will eat here!!! Please don’t miss it!

A must visit when in San Antonio! A classic Mexican restaurant and bakery with amazing food and really great service! The place is almost always busy but they run through things pretty quickly with a really huge staff! The location is also great not to far of walk from the river walk area and in the historic downtown with many shops and vendors surrounding the place! The decorations inside just top everything off!

Late lunch at an iconic restaurant. Was busy, but were seated right away. Used the lunch specials menu which is good Monday-Friday. Portions were just right. The entire restaurant is decorated with lots of bling. Food was good and our server anticipated everything, making sure our beverages were refilled at exactly the right time.

You can’t go wrong with this place! Arguably the best Mexican food downtown! Their chips are the perfect thickness so they have a great crunch. The salsa has a great flavor I wish they had one with a little more heat! The fajitas were very tender and were not chewy like other restaurants. Rice and beans were traditional and were enjoyed! Oh yeah the tortillas were so soft and delightful! The pictures say it all! Thanks Mi Tierra for great food, atmosphere, and service!

It was extremely busy for Sunday lunch but it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was nice. There were even mariachi walking around the restaurant playing the classics. I will definitely be back here every time I am in San Antonio. This place is truly a gem!
