Don’t waste your time… food is extremely overpriced and the quality is beyond disappointing. I’ve been anticipating to eat here and I was beyond disappointed. The lady that took my order wasn’t very friendly and welcoming. That sandwich is priced at $15!!!! This sandwich had paper thin chicken pieces, the cheese you can tell was made of cheap individual wrapped cheese that you get at the dollar store. I also ordered fries as well which was an additional $6!!!! And as you can see in the picture it wasn’t much. The sandwich was made up of more bread than any other ingredient. They charge $4 for empanadas that fit inside of your hand. Everything is overpriced and served to feed a child.

Good puertorican food. Ordered the roasted pork (pernil) with fried green plantains. Seasoned well and made to order.

I was able to give this food truck a try at the Dream Food Fest on 7/15 and I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
I had the cheese and beef empanadas and they exceeded my expectations. The crunch, the flavor, and the cheese pull- it was amazing.
I’ll be back soon to their main site to try more.

I was super excited to try this at the Jersey city Puerto Rican festival August 2024, considering it had bacalaitos and tripletas, but I was highly disappointed by most of the items I bought. First the bacalaitos tasted like they were made from the box. The texture wasn’t the best either. I bought a tripleta which I was very excited for but it tasted like a basic steak sandwich- definitely not authentic as tripletas usually are pressed in the grill . I know pan sabao is not easy to get but they could have At least gotten it from Walmart! The alcapurrias are also odd- they were soggy and the massa was an undercooked and it had pernil and chicken in it, which was not advertised. I expected ground beef which is what a typical alcapurria is filled with , and the taste was just okay. I also got a cheese and guava empanada which was probably the saving grace. I would not order from here again.

I had their food at the food truck fest at Turkey Brook park recently. The food was good but the Alcapurrias were way too greasy for me. Also it was kind of pricey as well. I probably won’t go out of my way to visit their food truck again.

Edited Review! I am editing not because the food isn’t great but rather poor business practices. I’ve driven TWICE now during posted business hours only to find no truck (including tonight in the pouring rain). I’ve tried to call several times and no one answers the phone (voice-mail is full). As a customer, it is disappointing when a place is not consistent or reliable. In this day, a simple “We will not be open today, DATE. Sorry for the inconvenience.” post on Instagram is courtesy. At least on Instagram so those who follow and support will know! So if you decide to support, just know… good food, HORRIBLE AND INCONSISTENT hours and business practices. Just NOT reliable!

Let me tell you.. I’ve tried so many Dominican and Colombian restaurants in Paterson and no chicharron can compete with this Puerto Rican food truck. And this is coming from a Haitian woman who KNOWS how to cook slamming food, respectfully!

I’m from Puerto Rico and I can say that the food here is authentic. The alcapurria de Yuca is awesome and the roast pork with rice is great.

The food is good but unable to follow where they will be at. Past few weekends it’s like a ghost hunt. Today I called and they’re already closed . Last week was worst. Not even open on a Saturday. Last guy that left a review said the alcapurrias were good on Thursday. How’s that even possible if they were closed. This is why PR restaurants don’t survive and really don’t have any in Paterson. I’d rather drive to Newark or NY. At least we have SOME THERE. What a shame.
