The salsa served with the chips also seemed like it came from a jar.
The steak quesadilla burrito bowl entres were a nice portion, and the cheese on it was better than what was used for the choriqueso. I’ve also had steak tacos there before, and they were very good as well.
Regardless of the minor disappointment, I would go back to this restaurant. It’s a good place to eat, but I will avoid the choriqueso next time.
The place is nice and people too. We ordered all vegetarian. While we have had better tastes at some other places, can’t complaint much.
Interior is really beautiful and gives typical Mexican vibes!
Do visit this place at a beautiful street.
Good food and service!
Tried:
– Chips and salsa, chips was little overcooked but the green sauce was too good.
– Same chips for nachos but tasty toppings.
– Could have added more Flavour to Veggie tacos.
– Entree, with chicken, 2 eggs, sausage, rice and beans was amazing.
Been meaning to check this place out for a while, now, and finally got the chance to go for lunch. I parked in one of the free lots off the side street and walked the short distance to the restaurant because I don’t like street parking. Inside, the décor was colorful, and the staff were really welcoming. Since I was getting take-out, they gave me a menu, and invited me to take a seat while I decided. Then I ordered at the back counter.
The selection of burritos was very limited – and all of them came “wet” style – meaning covered in some kind of sauce. This is not my favorite way to enjoy a burrito; I like to be able to pick them up to eat them. I ordered the Burrito Especial, and as the desserts were not listed on the menu, I had to ask if they had Tres Leches Cake (which they did). My order was finished pretty quickly, and soon I was back out the door.
The Burrito Especial was drenched in the chipotle mayo sauce. The sauce was tasty, but again, I prefer my sauces on the inside. When I had asked if they could put all the sauces on the inside, they told me, “We don’t do that. It comes on the outside.” Speaking of the inside, there was a generous amount of meat (pork) that was tender, but not very flavorful. Just enough rice, too, but I literally had to open my burrito to check and see if there were any beans in there, because I couldn’t find any. It was really light on the beans, which is confusing, as they are cheap, and an essential ingredient to a burrito. Average balance of tomatoes and lettuce. It was overall an average burrito.
The Tres Leches Cake was a wonderful balance of sweet cake, and leches sauce at the bottom. It was the highlight of my lunch.
They did not supply utensils, but luckily I had predicted that, and borrowed some beforehand. The burrito did not come with chips, though it did come with three pots of different sauces (guacamole, verde, and red salsa). I did not use the green pots, but the red salsa was fresh and tasty. Since I had no chips, I added it to the already soaked burrito.
It was an average experience. Mildly disappointed in the burrito, but the rest of the menu items looked pretty fancy. If I go back, I’ll try something else there, but not another wet burrito.
I got takeout but walking into the restaurant the atmosphere was very nice and my food was ready on time.
The Churros we’re perfect.
