Social Profile:

Mi Peru’s mission is to deliver high-quality, authentic Peruvian food that tastes like it was made at home. Whether you’ve been to Peru or not, you’ll feel like you have when you taste our food. Mi Peru is the continuation of a project that started almost three decades ago in Peru. After being on hold for a few years, it was revived in North Carolina by the owners, who started out cooking at home and inviting friends over. Their friends encouraged them to share their passion for Peruvian food with a broader audience, and that’s how Mi Peru came to be. We bring the passion and knowledge of what embodies Peruvian cuisine, using Peruvian condiments, spices, and cooking techniques.

A menu featuring an array of traditional Peruvian dishes in a quick service space with bright decor.

The food has a wonderfully homemade taste, and the service was outstanding—very warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the ceviche, especially because the leche de tigre had a perfect balance of flavors.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful hole-in-the-wall Peruvian restaurant. It’s much better than any chain Peruvian restaurant. We tried chicken, seafood, and beef dishes, all of which were very good.

The lomo and the ceviche are very delicious here. I haven’t had ceviche like this since I’d moved away from South Florida several years back.
Just note that if you like your food spicy, you should specify– even ask the server for some spicy sauce on the side, so to mix it in to your liking– because the owner likes to err on the side of caution.

This is a family run Peruvian Restaurant that the locals love and support. I was looking for chicken dark quarter takeout dinners similar to Alpaca. So I ordered 2 dinners that came with 2 sides so I got their beans and mixed vegetables. Service was friendly, attentive and the orders were completed fast.
The chicken quarters were small in size, the mixed vegetables needed seasoning and the beans were very good. Overall the meal was very good, but something green like green beans or spinach would have been a better addition than the mixed vegetables.

As someone with food allergies, I’m always leery trying new restaurants. These guys took very good care of me. The beef and red onions were cooked to perfection. My server was kind, attentive, and professional. They play music videos from Peru, which was cool because you get to hear both Spanish and indigenous languages from the Andes. This place is a vibe. I’m definitely making this one of my Durham pit stops!

If you want good authentic Peruvian food there aren’t many options in the triangle area.

The ceviche tasted pretty good and the lomo saltado was good also.

Having a certain knack for authentic peruvian flavors, I gotta admit this restaurant hits the spot! I have tried a bunch of their dishes and liked every one so far. In addition to the staff which have all being friendly, especially Vanessa. I’m happy to have found a local Peruvian restaurant in Durham!
