Yo, if you’re lookin’ for legit Mexican eats in Lincoln Park, Mi Nueva Tierra Cantina/Cocina is the spot. I rolled up there last weekend and grabbed the carne asada tacos—three for $18.24 after tax—and they were straight fire. The steak was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. I also got the enchiladas de mole, and that rich, smoky sauce had me hooked from the first bite. The vibe is chill, with TVs for the game and a dog-friendly patio that’s perfect for day drinking. Margaritas? On point. I spent about $35, and it was worth every penny. Plus, the staff was mad friendly, making it a solid spot for a solo meal or a group hang. Highly recommend.

Living in the neighborhood, we were really excited for our first visit and purposely stopped in during their happy hour. The happy hour drinks are advertised as $9 margaritas, $8 mojitos, and $5 Mexican draft beers. We were charged $24 a margarita and regular price for the other drinks. Apparently we were billed for grande mezcal margaritas when we repeatedly asked for the happy hour special. None of us asked for grande or requested mezcal, nor do we care for it. With this being our first time in, we didn’t know that the drinks we were served weren’t the happy hour option until looking closely at the bill. I contacted the restaurant and they fixed our draft beer charges but said they couldn’t get ahold of our server to find out why we were over charged $15 per each margarita. I followed up and never heard anything else. They have a cute patio and the food was great, but we were wildly overcharged.
9/19 Update: The business responded and said they can’t charge $9 for mezcal margaritas. The issue is that we *never* ordered mezcal, only the basic, happy hour margaritas, and our other basic happy hour drinks were charged incorrectly as well. The margaritas tasted like margaritas, we had no idea they served us mezcal and why.

Amazing place with absolutely stunning food and service. The host was lovely. Also, the tacos on point baby. Their margarita game is strong too. Would love to keep going here. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Drove by this place on the way to Costco and had to stop on the way back! Shaken skinny marg was the best it can get. Salsa was fresh and spicy! My enchiladas were simple and delicious. My boyfriend won’t shut up about how good his burrito was. Price point was very fair. Will be back for more skinny margs, salsa, burritos, and would like to try the fajitas!

Had a party of 30 people here and the service was fantastic. Drinks came out fast and food was hot & delicious. Adriana and the rest of the staff were super attentive to all the guests needs. We would have a party here again.

I came here base on the reviews but I honestly don’t know why it has such high reviews. The waitress was great she was friendly.
The food was not good it was salty I honestly thought it was going to be great but no. The drink was not good either I order the Mango mamá encause it looked good in the menu but it was horrible. No taste of mango at all the orange juice had a taste of it was open for a long time. For 12$ drink is not worth it. Finally I couldn’t enjoy my food because there were at of flies, I was more focused on the flies than on my food (I was eating in side not outside)
