it was on a Monday night that we walked by the restaurant. It was a little after 10 and I peeked in to ask if they were opened. She said sure come on in. I asked how late are you open and she reluctantly told me 10:30. I can tell she didn’t want me to feel rushed. We ended up leaving after 11. We sat and talked to the owner for quite a while and really enjoyed it. I had a big traditional margarita and it was excellent. We had the steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas and loved them. The shrimp was particularly good. The place is really small and intimate. I really enjoyed it there. If I lived in New York I would go there once a week. I eat a lot of Mexican food and the salsa was the best I’ve ever had.

I ordered from Mi Nidito online and the process was fast and easy. The pickup was quick, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Prices are very affordable, and Chef PK was so warm and welcoming—it really made the experience even better. This spot on 10th Ave in Manhattan is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Dude this is not a 4 1/2 star restaurant. The place is tiny. It has 3 tables. It has a full bar. I asked if i could get a mezcal margarita. He said no because the margaritas are premade. The menu is massive. I couldn’t understand how a menu could be so big for such a massive restaurant until i realized most of the food is frozen then reheated. A bit expensive overall. Mixed seafood enchiladas $25. So so Margarita $16

Charging 21 for a steak quesadilla and this is the size should be illegal what is going on here?? Is this a joke? Disappointed never coming back plus he was rude I paid 46 for 2 quesadillas that was crazy!! Stay away from

Definitely try the grilled chicken quesadillas, they offer free salsa and chips with lunch special, worth the money. The restaurant is very small but they have a larger one on tenth avenue.
The waiters in both spots are very friendly!

Worst experience we had in NYC we tried a different restaurants everyday while visiting and let me tell you this was the worse one we went to. My fiancé loves Mexican so I thought for his birthday this was a good choice to go to. But ……..Walked in we weren’t sure where to go or what to do. We sat down ordered 2 piña coladas the flavor was good. The price ??? Was not worth it. We needed some time to look over the menu so we went with guacamole and chips. They were the SMALLEST portion of guacamole and chips I have ever gotten in any Mexican restaurant I’ve been too. Finally we went with a chef special fajitas the mixed seafood and steak. Well let me tell you for $38.00 they were NOT WORTH IT. I asked for my veggies on the side because I don’t eat them but my fiancé does they couldn’t do it. Everything was a problem we can’t do this we can’t do that. Once we got the fajitas there was one piece of steak, 2 shrimps and the rest of it was veggies and onion. Seriously the biggest scam in the fajitas history I’ve ever seen. The rice and beans that come with the fajitas small is an understatement. We not recommend eating here at all. You will leave hungry and pay a crazy amount of money for crappy Mexican food. I don’t know how they can say they are the “best” because again I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants everywhere and this ONE IS THE WORSE ONE IVE EVER BEEN TO.

Moved to NY from California. At first had a crisis as difficult to find GOOD Mexican food. Lots of Italian, but like California sucks for Italian food, NY has some work to do Mexican food wise. Finally found authentic Mexican at Mi Nidito, 9th ave (hells kitchen) and 10th / 54th street location. Thank god, as I was about to head back to California. I highly recommend. Nothing fancy just good food.

Super-kind, hospitable staff and happy hour deals to seize. Thankfully, amongst all the beers made by international conglomerates, there was also a Mexican craft beer on draught. The food is Mexican-inspired, let’s say, as the the quesadilla had enough cheese and sour cream on it to provide a calcium ration for a family of 6. It was good, though.

The best margaritas in mid town, good prices, I think the friendliness host I had in Manhattan. Good mexican beers, awesome fresh chips, and the best guacamole I tasted in new York. If your into authentic mexican food, this is the place.

Wow. The meat in the food is very tasty. Not like chain Mexican restaurants. Chimichanga’s chicken and veggies had that smokey grilled taste. Ground beef had a chili flavor to it. Very good. Large portions. Lots of margarita flavors and sizes. Mango was good. Service was also top notch. Would be pricey where I’m from (Wa state), 80 bucks for 2 dinner plates and a small margarita. Would be a regular if I was a local. Very small space.
