Our first visit to Mi Mezcal Mexican Grill in Cadillac MI. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The building is clean and has a very nice atmosphere. They had some nice specials tonight (Monday) and their menu had many dishes that we’d never heard of before. After researching their website we selected this restaurant as we were particularly interested in the molcajete lobster. My wife enjoyed her sangria and we both agreed that the free tortilla chips and salsa was delicious. We split the order of Molcajete Lobster. This dish included beans, rice, and salad. All were very tasty. The Molcajete is served in hot rock with a choice of bread, flour or corn tortillas. The serving size was substantial and was supposed to contain lobster, scallops, shrimp, onions, corn and bell peppers in a spicy tomato sauce. The five shrimp were cooked to perfection, the lobster tail was so overcooked as to be barely edible, and there were no scallops in the dish. The onions, peppers, corn and sauce were excellent. I really wish that I could have tasted the scallops as I believe that they would have been as well prepared as the shrimp. The server was surprised that there were no scallops and graciously deducted 10% ($5) from the cost of the dish. So many of their offerings looked really great that I regret my choice. In reality, however, it was the opportunity to enjoy that particular dish that convinced us to choose Mi Mezcal over the other two Mexican restaurants in Cadillac.

What an absolute great restaurant! We had excellent food and service- enjoyed the tacos al pastor and shredded beef chimichanga. Nice kids menu options too! Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

We visited Mi Mezcal for dinner and really enjoyed the service and food. They have a daily happy hour and the house margaritas were excellent.The Al Pastor tacos were tasty and enjoyed the verde and red sauce it came with on the side.
Our waitress did a great job checking on us regularly and the food/drinks came out quickly. The restaurant was well decorated and had a beautiful bar in another room. Definitely recommend Mi Mezcal! Great Mexican restaurant in Cadillac!

Arrived in Cadillac around dinner time and the reviews for this place seemed like it would be a good choice.
Chips were cold and a little on the stale side but the salsa was really good. I had the steak fajita quesadilla with no tomatoes. A lot of veggies but not much steak. The steak was under seasoned, not much flavor. The rice was a little bland but okay.
Server was pleasant.

We were there for a late lunch. It was not busy. The place is huge. The service was excellent. Very fast. The food was good, not super authentic but good. We had a burritos verde and the fish tacos and chips and salsa. Each meal was $15. There was a lot of food so we took home leftovers. I’d recommend this place and I’d go back.

Came at 3:30 on a Sunday maybe one other table in there. We had 2 adults 2 kids, my husband’s tacos came out and the meat was cold. My daughter ordered a chicken taco salad no bowl (gluten allergy) the chicken came out in huge chunks definitely not shredded. my other daughter got beef and cheese nachos the beef was just a glob on top. I got carnitas and was scared to eat the meat it had a VERY bad color to it. We did not get checked on we had to ask for a refill and had to pretty much ask for the check after waiting for a while. Used to go to huraduras and was looking for somewhere comparable this is not. If you enjoy hot authentic Mexican food with good service this is not it. Usually give restaurants 2 tries before saying never again this one just gets the one chance. Disappointed

What a beautiful restaurant, I love the decor. We stopped in to enjoy a meal on Saturday afternoon. When we arrived the restaurant was empty, but filled up shortly after our arrival. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our drink order was taken as soon as we were seated. *We said yes to chips and salsa not knowing they weren’t complimentary ($1.50). I thought this was a little disappointing. Our meals were both yummy along with our jalapeno margaritas.

We stopped in as people who are new to the area and this place was so lovely. The food was delicious and the perfect margaritas are on point!
We loved sitting outside under the umbrellas, but inside the building was bursting with charm as well.

Mi Mezcal Mexican Grill is some of the best restaurant food that I’ve had in a while. There are plenty of vegetarian options that can also be made vegan or dairy-free. The complimentary chips and salsa were great. I ordered the veggie fajitas and they were incredible. Nice presentation and plenty of food for leftovers. The employees were kind and the space was clean and welcoming.
