Finally, this place is not like all the other Mexican restaurants in Bardstown. It’s got flavor, fresh ingredients and spice! Not your gringo- centered, processed cheese, bland, boring Mexican food. You can tell it’s made with love. Delicioso! Haven’t had such good Mexican food with flavor and spice since New Mexico and Arizona. I’m so glad we found you!

This store/restaurant has decent food. Whenever I look for authentic Mexican food, I look for place that serve Caldos. Which this one does. They serve good Caldo de Res which is my go to. They also have Caldo de Camarón, Siete Mares and Menudo.
In the back they have a little Hispanic store in which you can get some drinks, chips and various other things. They don’t have much but it’s a nice little variety.
I go during lunch and it can get busy.

Great little place but they don’t quite have their ducks in a row yet. New owners who are eager to please and have the right flavors. I think a few months of fine tuning and they should be right on par. They are eager to please though so that’s great.

My family got together this weekend for an early Thanksgiving gathering, about 30 of us. We chose this place for the great food and location. The service was great! Our drinks never dried up and the chips and salsa kept coming! After our orders were placed, within 15 minutes plates started coming out, we were all served in under 30 minutes! When it came time to pay, the waiters were on it. There was no confusion on who was on whoms check. And the way they treated the 5 children in our group was nothing like I’ve ever seen! They treated them like they were their own kids!

Gas Station Sushi
This place is hit or miss, but their corn tortillas are hand made and they have friendly service to boot. Great local spot and fairly quick service. I’ve noticed that some menu items are not always available though. Aside from that snafu everything seems good. The restaurant is well maintained and clean, at least it is every time I’ve been there. Just so you are aware, this location uses community tips, so if you’re against that then avoid this location.
