I’ve been to Mi Cozumel many times, but celebrating my birthday there was on another level. Everything was amazing—the food was incredibly delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant and fun, and the whole place just felt right.
What truly stood out was the staff’s patience and kindness. They were more than happy to accommodate our requests and made us feel genuinely welcome. Even though the restaurant officially closes at 10 PM, they let us stay until 11 and went the extra mile to create a beautiful and memorable birthday celebration for me.
Thank you so much to the entire team for making my night so special. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Stopped in here for a birthday lunch. The variety of margs is insane, though not all are very practical to actually drink with so much stuff in them. Having a small plate to put fruit rinds and such would be nice. The sparklers they light when your drinks arrive are fun too. The atmosphere with the decor and music was hip and lively. The food was good. Menu is a little more expensive than some other Mexican restaurants, but everything tasted good and seemed fresh. I was disappointed there wasn’t a song or any type of acknowledgement of my birthday (mentioned to server twice), which is one of the best parts of going to a Mexican restaurant for your birthday (at least it is my expectation from past experiences). Overall it was alright, but I couldn’t help but feel disappointed.

Food was delicious, service amazing and music was loud enough to enjoy it at the same time as being able to have a conversation with the person in front of you. We witnessed someone celebrating their birthday and the staff singing and playing the drums was very entertaining. Prices are a little high but, the food, service and atmosphere are so worth it!! ***HEADS UP*** sizes are bigger than in a regular restaurant. Don’t

Food was good. The menu is nice. The atmosphere is nice . The service is lacking. It wasn’t bad, but it wasnt good either. Also I was under the impression that this was a celebratory environment. When I told the server it was my gf birthday she just kinda shrugged it off. The newport in the levee location sings and dances and does all kinds of stuff like advertised. This location needs some work. First time in and thats exactly why we went there and did not get the experience advertised. Disappointed

This place is a vibe. It’s like eating in a club – I loved it. Very clean atmosphere. Service was great. Food was fantastic – margarita was delicious, salsa was perfect, and street tacos were great. Can’t go wrong here.

This was my first time at the Kenwood location, but I always enjoy visiting Mi Cozumel anywhere! Great food and service every time we go (lobster enchiladas are my go-to). Their atmosphere is very colorful and vibrant. Also I can’t remember the name of the drink pictured, but it was delicious!

Marcos was absolutely phenomenal! The performance from everything start to finish was amazing. The theatrics of how they bring out the drinks and the energy they give is honestly such a vibe. They have so many options for food and a drink menu like I’ve never seen before! So many interesting iconic drinks. Marcos was our server and will be the reason we always come to the Kenwood location!!

To give you the proper background, you should know that the group I was with during this experience was 60+. I had eaten LUNCH at this location several months ago and thought the food was great. On this occasion I entered on the parking lot side of the restaurant. There were people to the right waiting for tables. As I had a reservations for a party of six, I waited to speak to an employee. Ten minutes later I had not even received eye contact from an employee which led me to believe that maybe I was at a take out desk (but then again there were those people sitting to the right waiting for tables and being seated a few at a time). I thought that perhaps I needed to use the main entrance in the mall. I walked around and there were about ten people waiting to be seated. I went to the reception area and asked if those ahead of me had a reservation. The guy said I had to talk to someone else. Someone else came up and beckoned me to follow him. I ended up at a table about five feet from where I had originally been standing at the original entrance. I sat down and chips and salsa appeared quickly. Music was blaring (I truly mean blaring) from a speaker just above the table. I couldn’t speak to be heard without shouting. I asked the person that brought the chips if the music could be turned down. She said yes but nothing happened. In about ten minutes the rest of my party arrived. We shouted at each other for quite some time and finally a server appeared and took drink orders. I asked the server if the music could be turned down. He said yes, but nothing happened. Drinks appeared and I asked again if music could be turned down. He said yes, but nothing happened. After ten or fifteen minutes more with no server showing to take our orders and all of us being tired of shouting we decided to leave. I left money on the table to cover what had been brought so far and then the server appeared to see what was wrong. We told him and we left. It was a totally miserable experience. I would never go again and am sorry I suggested the restaurant to the group.

Really looked forward to trying this place! I loved my experience at the Oakley location and gave it a 5-star review, so couldn’t wait to check out their newest spot and so close to home. Went to Kenwood at about 5:00 on a Saturday and they were already very busy. We were told there would be a wait for a table for 2 but they could seat us at the bar right away. Very nice host cleaned off an area where diners had just left, gave us menus and cutlery, and we settled in for a fun evening. We looked through the crazy margarita menu and picked out what we wanted and closed the menu and waited. And waited. And waited. There were bartenders right in front of us but they didn’t so much as say “be right with you!” We were just ignored. We were so excited to try the drinks and food so we were patient, smiled and made eye contact, but no one said so much as Hello.
We timed it and 20 minutes after being seated, still no one acknowledged us so we decided to leave. So disappointing and we won’t be back even though we live in the neighborhood. Had a great meal and excellent service a few minutes later at El Rancho Grande right down the road.

We warmly greeted and our server Santi was attentive and very pleasant with a nice sense of humor. Food was hot and delicious. The margarita with the fireworks was a fabulous surprise!
