first time coming here and we had a pretty good meal here! when we came it wasn’t too busy and we’re seated quickly. the restaurant is small but has very nice decor. we ordered the cheese dip for an appetizer and it was everything you’d want in cheese dip. the bean dip was actually really good and i liked that more than the salsa, not that the salsa wasn’t good.
for entree i got the steak tacos which came with rice and charro beans. the steak was flavorful and juicy. i didn’t get limes with my plate but i used the lemon from the water and that sufficed. tacos were great and filling. the rice was good but was a little too salty. same with the charro beans. the bacon was a nice touch too.
the grilled chicken enchiladas were really good as well. unfortunately, the rice again was salty.
overall our meal was good other than the salty rice. our service was good but we had many people taking turns serving us so we weren’t sure who to tip. we’d definitely come back again to try other items on the menu. they have buy one get one beers all day which is a great deal!

Anyway…I already raved about Mi Casita’s on TikTok, but had to come back and drop a proper review because this place deserves it.
This staff here definitely gave a lowkey luxury experience!
Listen, this is officially the best Mexican restaurant in Okaloosa County and my favorite
The handmade furniture is absolutely stunning!
This isn’t just a restaurant…it’s a gallery that HAPPENS to serve food.
Now the plantbased bowl? Rice and beans cooked to PERFECTION. Veggies so fresh they still had snap.
Best plantbased bowl I’ve tasted to date.
But here’s what elevated everything: the service.
They treated the meal like an experience…not a transaction.
When the art, the food, AND the service align?
That’s not dining.
That’s curation.
If you’re ever in Niceville…don’t forget to try this place.

Food was delicious. Service was not great st all. They told me to sit anywhere I like and so sat right in the middle. Couldn’t get any service for a while. Actually thought about leaving. Then she came got my drink order but didn’t bring a menu. Finally got the menu and ordered. But then she had to come back and asked what I ordered. When my food did come, I didn’t have any silverware yet.

I really wanted to like Mi Casita because I’ve heard good things, but my experience was pretty disappointing. The main issue here is the consistency—one day it’s fine, and the next it’s a total mess. This time around, the service was just rude. The waitstaff seemed annoyed that we were even there and it took forever just to get water.
The food didn’t live up to the hype either. The portions were okay, but the quality was definitely lacking—my tacos were super greasy and the beans tasted like they had been sitting out all day. It’s also frustrating that you have to pay for chips and salsa here when every other Mexican spot in the area gives them to u for free. For the price they’re charging, I expected way better quality and at least a friendly ‘hello.’ There are definitely better, more consistent options for Mexican food in Niceville. Probably won’t be giving this one a third chance.
I’d avoid this one. The waiter p
Barely spoke English too. That’s a shame.

My buddies and I have came here every. single. Friday. For over a year and the food, atmosphere, friendly service, and connection we all have made is pivotal to the success and amazement of this restaurant. It absolutely NEVER disappoints. The food is delicious, the waiters, waitresses and managers are the most friendliest I have ever encountered, and the atmosphere is uplifting in every way imaginable. I HIGHLY recommend for group get togethers all the way to casual nights out, and anything in between. I love Mi Casita and it’s the best Mexican restaurant ever n

This place is one of the best in the area. Being from AZ I have a pretty high bar for good Mexican food. This place is leaps and bounds a head of local chains like Pepitos, Peppers, and Pedro’s. Chips and salsa were good. Service was very fast and friendly. Margarita was a little strong on the mix. They have a full bar. Over all better than average for the area. Will be back.

What’s nice about this restaurant, is it’s not a chain. It’s family owned and the food has flavor and authentic. The salsa is made in house, and as a result the peppers vary. So we never know what to expect, which is nice. We had the vegetarian fajitas and tacos. Both well priced and the fajitas come with plenty of toppings on the side. Their house margaritas are always 2 for 1. Karen & Doran were great services, they stay in contact refreshed or drinks and chips as needed. It’s a great family atmosphere for dinner.

I really wanted to love this place after hearing so many great things about it. I love authentic mexican food and would have loved to have found my new favorite restaurant but it just didn’t do it for me. It is a small location and it was packed on the Friday evening that I went. There was people at the bar and eating both inside and outside on the patio; which I think was the result of everyone raving about this place. I think the manager took our order and he was super nice but I just don’t think that they were prepared for the amount of people that showed up at that time. The food was ok but we expected for it to be a lot different and better. The steak tacos were decent but not the best that I’ve had and the taco was good but my friend said that her chili relleno wasnt how she likes it. Also, it was weird that the food was served on styrofoam plates with plasticware. Just a heads up, chips & salsa is not included in your meal, you have to pay for it.

We have been many many times and the food is always delicious and comes out quickly! The service is fantastic as well. The quality for price is 5 star. We drive out of our way from Freeport for Mi Casita because it is worth it. We typically have the fajitas, birria, and rice bowl.

I went to Mi Casita for a late lunch. I ordered the shrimp bowl and thought it was very good. I knocked it down one star as I had to send back some dishes that were brought to me with old, dried food on them from a previous customer.
