Another hotel restaurant delivers. I’m pleased to see both lunch and dinner options available at a reasonable price for a 3-course meal.
Course numero 1, I had the collard greens Spanakopita with crisp pockets. They were served warm and made for a flavorful beginning to the meal. Followed by, the shrimp and grits—perfectly cooked shrimp with just the right amount of spice, complemented by grits that had a great texture and taste.
To finish, I tried the peanut butter whoopie pie, paired with an espresso. The cookie was a bit on the firm side but had a great balance with the creamy, fluffy peanut butter filling.
Ryan at the helm, offered valuable insights into the restaurant’s operations and what it’s like behind the scenes at 22 SQ.
This was my first time visiting, and I’m definitely open to returning. A solid addition to the dining experience for this Restaurant Week.

Such a great experience! We visted this nice place for our Christmas dinner. Josiah was our host and he made sure we were taken care of and stayed on the ball. Very impressive! Dinner was awesome with the meat dishes topping the list. Oh yes, and dessert! Simple decor which helped in keeping the focus on the food.

Loved this place for globalist breakfast when staying at the Andaz. I had the biscuits and grave two days in a row and they were phenomenal but boy those grits could end wars! Some of the best I’ve ever had and I grew up in the south and my grandma was from Louisiana.
Great service sitting at the bar. Highly recommend and would stay at the andaz again just for this breakfast!

Great breakfast spot inside the Andaz. The variety here really stands out, way more options than most hotel restaurants, and everything was perfectly prepared and cooked. The Gourmand was excellent, the biscuits and gravy were killer, and the shrimp and grits were absolutely top notch. Huge shoutout to my server Josiah, pure energy and joy, genuinely made the experience even better with his vibe. Savannah has amazing food everywhere, but this is incredibly convenient and honestly a perfect start to the day, especially if you’re staying at the hotel.

I would not come here unless you have your Amex credits. Too many better places to eat. We waited 15 minutes to even be greeted at the hostess stand. The waiter was very nice and helpful, I will say. The food though. I got the avocado toast and the avocado was frozen. My husband ordered poached eggs and they were floating in water. Yikes!

The shrimp and grits were so good, perfect flavoring with a butter ring around them. Excited to have someone in our group whose never tried shrimp and grits before say she fell in love. The blood Orange mocktail was also a hit. Lunch was very quiet and laid back.

Over a few days, we had the gourmand, the shrimp and grits, the french toast, and the biscuits and gravy. All were excellent. The shrimp and grits was the smallest of the portions, but very flavorful. We recommend adding a side meat to most of them for extra protein, and the chicken and pork sausages were WAY better than the bacon.
Also, the espresso is a very dark roast if that matters to you!
Atmosphere would get a 4 but giving 5 because for a hotel it’s a fantastic restaurant.

My daughters brought me to 22 Square for Mother’s Day. We ordered from a special Mother’s day brunch menu: a choice of appetizer, main meal, and dessert. The food was very good. The space was bright due to the windows and simple (not plain). Our server was pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits (some of the best I have had) but also tasted the chicken and waffles which were delicious. The value for the quantity and quality of food for a brunch let alone a Mother’s day brunch was great.

Hotel was nice, restaurant was very disappointing. We decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant after a long drive + they had chicken tenders for the kids. We were the only ones in the restaurant for dinner (bad sign). We ordered the burger and shrimp & grits for the adults, which was fine. The kids chicken tenders were burnt and drenched with oil. They seemed to have put the chicken into oil that wasn’t hot enough, so they had to cook them longer, which made them burnt and soaked with oil (oil poured out of the tender when I cut it). Safe to say, neither of my kids would eat the chicken, so they ate fries (which were good) for dinner. When I asked the waitress if they always are like this, she told me yes, cause they use dark meat and it takes longer to cook. Who uses dark meat in chicken tenders? Regardless, we got a 10% discount but honestly they should of comped the kids meals.

Had an amazing time here for Valentines Day. The hotel lobby was immaculate. The hotel bar was sophisticated and had the most amazing singer who set an amazing mood for guests and diners. Clinton the Operations Manager was so amazingly professional and kind. The service was impeccable and the food….absolutely delicious. Josiah was goofy, fun and made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!
