Food was just ok…
Ate here twice and both nights the chips were chewy stale, and our regular soft shell tacos were just as stale. Service was good and the drinks were cold and refreshing. But their food could really use much needed improvement.

Mathews on a Saturday in the Summer is hopping . At the local Mexican restaurant Mi Casa Azteca things were active .. I got the feeling the drinks were good but I only saw them I didn’t try them . As for the food the portions were a good size the salsa was spicy.. I found the food average though.. the service a bit slow. Often you need to try a few things to discover their best dishes.. the locals seemed fine with it all.

PLEASE don’t change how you make the steak, or the chips, or tbe sauces. The food was PERFECT. Plus there’s beautiful artwork everywhere. Great spot for family or friends.

Very negative experience. Party after us was seated first. When I waved at her before she made the mistake AND WHEN THE SECOND PARTY TOLD HER WE WERE FIRST, she said you’ll get seated first in a very incredibly rude and condescending attitude, then proceeded to seat the second party first !?!?!?!?! half of the restaurant was freezing and when she came to seat us I said we want to sit on that side bc it was very cold in one side.. She said there’s no more seats on that side…. I said EXACTLY. why i was trying to wave her down. Name of employee identified as Autumn- short, dark hair tied back with thick black framed glasses. Abhorrent experience and I do not recommend doing business here
