My daughter-in-law kept telling me to go so I did today. She said the Mexican food there was great and she is a great cook and baker so I pretty much do anything she says. I had taken out and they prepared it pretty quickly for me. The food was great. I could only eat half of the steak burrito.

This place was so wonderful! We had made a reservation earlier in the day and we were sat as soon as we walked in. We were able to sit outside and listen to the band that was playing a few doors down. The chips and salsa were a great indicator that we were in for a good time! The chips were fresh and very well seasoned! Not to mention the variety that the salsa bar offered! Sweet and spicy flavors at the salsa bar were all delicious! Even mixing some of the flavors was a great move. The only snafu that I can think of was the service was a little slow, but nothing crazy. The servers all seemed to work well together when they were out on the patio. We ordered dry drinks (the mojito, and the mule) that were tasty, the Mahi Mahi that I will be dreaming about until I can eat it again, and the chiles en nogada that my fiancé hardly wanted to share! Needless to say, we were already talking about a return visit with friends. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and yummy chips and salsa. We were incredibly happy with our visit!

This is one of our favorite places in SLC. We take all of our friends and family here. The food is quick and delicious. The service is so kind and welcoming. It fits so well on 15th and 15th. Such a great energy. Best shrimp tacos I’ve had. Love Mi Buena Vida!!

The service and atmosphere was really solid, however the food is mid at best. We had 2 fajitas, one chicken and one beef and both were bland and tasteless, plus the side of refried beans and rice was extremely small portions. Salt Lake City may very well have the worst Mexican food scene in the country.

1,000/5 this place is incredible. The ambience, the service, the food! Everything was perfect and very intentional in my opinion. Sam helped us and she was like a Disney princess, so kind so caring and an absolute joy to be around! I googled “margaritas near me” and this came up somehow I’ve never heard of it, but I believe it’s my new favorite restaurant! Whoever designed this restaurant I want to design my house. I got a frozen strawberry margarita, which was amazing and clearly made to Order! My boyfriend got the agua de jamaica and it had dried Hibiscus flour on top which was absolutely beautiful and it tasted very fresh and homemade. Their chips were really good, and I liked their salsa selection. He got the chili Verde burrito and I got the taco platter with a bean and cheese taco and a shrimp taco, they were both exquisite. All of the employees were lovely and kind, we got the churro beignets to go, and I’m sure they’re going to be amazing! On Tuesdays, they do eight dollar margaritas! Also, the prices here are insane. They are so good. It’s like 2018 prices.

I will definitely be returning to eat at this delicious Mexican restaurant. All the dishes were very well presented Every bite pleasured my pallet. We tried every taco with every kind of meat and each, and everyone had its own unique taste. The steak fajitas were fire, We also tried the chorizo Jalapeño poppers they were phenomenal. I wasn’t too crazy about the dipping sauce. I love the fact that they had their own salsa bar inside. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable

We visited Mi Buena Vida on a Wednesday night and had an incredible experience. No wait, and we lucked out with a perfect corner window seat—watching the rain outside added to the ambiance in the best way.
The food? Absolutely fantastic. We started with the shrimp ceviche, and the mint and cilantro dressing took it to another level—so fresh and flavorful! Our Cadillac margaritas were the perfect pairing.
For mains, I had the shrimp enchiladas with their mole sauce—rich, complex, and just the right kick (though I’m a bit of a wimp with spice). My other half had the beef tacos, and wow—the portion was generous, and the flavors were spot on.
One of the fun extras here is their salsa bar, a must-visit! It’s great for adding extra flavors to your meal or enhancing the complimentary chips and salsa. So many delicious options to explore.
Beyond the amazing food, the service was top-notch. Our waitress was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish.
Even though we were stuffed, we couldn’t pass up dessert. We got flan and tres leches cake to go, and they packaged it beautifully. The flan was silky smooth, with the perfect balance of flavor and a side of fresh whipped cream. The tres leches was just as incredible, with a fresh strawberry garnish that added the perfect touch.
If I could give this place six stars, I would. Can’t wait to come back!

The experience was highly disappointing, as the ordered tres leches cake was essentially just bread soaked in milk, lacking the expected flavor and texture. This poor quality made the product not worth the price, indicating very low value for money. Discovered this place last summer. The patio is so nice and now that it’s winter we have been indoors several visits. It’s a great place for a family dinner or dinner and drinks with friends. We have seen and had most of the menu items now and all have been fabulous! My personal favorite are the fajitas with cheese. I end up with at least 3 meals from that. The flavors are so good! The salsa bar is fun too. The service has always been great and consistent. One of our go to places now!
