The reviews are definitely correct and in a city with amazing breakfast options this was our favorite. Even though the setting is not as dramatic as some of the others it was very pretty and enjoyable. Located just a bit off the tourist streets it felt more like a stylish neighborhood eatery. Service was impeccable and the array of freshly squeezed juices and smoothies are served in a half liter carafe! We had the crispy omelette and poached eggs in cheese sauce and they were unbelievable tasty and so unusual. Big cups of cappuccino made from local beans were such a treat. Lots of seating available and even on a Sunday they accommodated us within 5 minutes.

The place is down an alley and looks out onto a dirt parking lot, so if pretty views are your thing, go to one of the many rooftop restaurants. But if you like good food and a quiet atmosphere, this is the place! The raw bluefin tuna was excellent, the shrimp tacos had just enough spice, the profiteroles had an excellent ganache (but if you can’t do nuts, ask for no almonds), and the anchovies were superb. Plus bonus friendly restaurant kitty to keep the place vermin-free.

We had breakfast at Mi Bistro 300 and really enjoyed the experience. I ordered the chilaquiles arrastrados and they were absolutely delicious—perfectly sauced and full of flavor. The menu offers a nice variety of both Mexican and international dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The coffee was great, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. A solid spot to start your day in San Miguel de Allende.

Our first time eating at Mi Bistro 300 today and it won’t be our last. Water ‘de la casa’ presented with fruit served along with fabulous bread with butter and salsa… both complimentary. I had the salmon with organic vegetables. Hands down the best salmon that I have ever had and the vegetables were plentiful and cooked perfectly. My husband had the fusilli with salmon and it was also a big hit. And the flan!! OMG!! As close to heaven as you can get. The best, by far that I have ever had and this most always my dessert of choice… served with figs, raspberries and other fruit. We can’t wait to return and will be telling all our our friends about it. Thank you, thank you, Mi Bistro chefs and servers. It was a fabulous experience and we look forward to seeing you again soon! We have been here twice for breakfast, both times very delicious, attentive service, restful garden atmosphere. Pictured are Drowned Flutes and Pancakes. Also seen, the complimentary pan de casa (house bread).

Another lovely lunch in SMA. One enters off the street down a passageway to a quite attractive restaurant, which, unfortunately, overlooks an unattractive parking lot. We almost turned around because of that, but we’re glad we didn’t. The level of service and the quality of the food make up for the disappointing view. We came for a light lunch and everything was delicious. My wife had the grilled lettuce with apple and anchovies… the best salad she’s had in years, she thought. I had fairly straightforward rib eye tacos, which impressed me with the quality of the meat. Our friend had a lovely homemade tomato soup and the Serrano ham croquettes, which he devoured with gusto.
We’ll definitely be back… first for breakfast, which surely must be impressive, and then for a more substantial dinner!

The welcome water with orange slice was refreshing and a nice touch.
Too much sirachi sauce on the shrimp sushi. I didn’t expect it as it wasn’t listed as part of the dish on the menu. Not my favorite. No wasabi provided either.
It was a cool evening and the plastic liners in the room didn’t prevent the wind from chilling us.
Didn’t find the menu varied enough for a pescatarian.

I’m impressed by the service at Bistro. I visit SMA twice a year and I had never come across a place with such great service. We had servers regularly checking in to make sure our order had been taken. The food presentation was top notch, and every request with our order was delivered perfectly. I recommend their Pancakes with bacon and their matcha latte is quality matcha

My family and I had a lovely time, with attentive service and delicious food. The standout was the concha with/con nata but on another level. It had delicious jam and fresh accompanying the cream and the fluffy bread, my only concern was they run out early, so go early if you want to snag one.
The bathrooms need more attention too, they were out of soap and we had to remind them twice.

I’m not in the habit of visiting the same place twice on vacation, but the breakfasts were excellent and it was a quick hop from our hotel, Casa Quebrada. The juice-smoothies were excellent and served in a sufficient quantity. The food was well prepared and service was quick. I highly recommend!
