Reviews
This is a place you come to for the quality of the fish. We had 2 orders of the avocado balls with spicy tuna, so good. Chutoro and ocean trout sashimi, it was so tender and the taste so uniquely fresh. We tried the chef’s deluxe nigiri, none of the cuts disappointed. The hamachi appetizer was also very good. Our last dish was the lobster Osaka box, my favorite roll in the whole wide world! Still as satisfying as the first time I had it.
It’s a sushi restaurant with style and atmosphere, a great date night spot. 100% recommended, over and over again.
There are much better sushi restaurants in the Greater Houston area.
The only bright spot was the valet — he was super friendly and quick.
Elegance
Precision
And I haven’t even started talking about the food. The staff was amazing and very professional. My wife and I loved the experience.
Regarding the meal
AMAZING freshness, tatelizing flavors I will definitely be going back. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
Glad to see it was very crowded – with all the restaurant closures I’m worried about our great Houston restaurants – but this place seemed to be doing fine on a Saturday night.
Overall mediocre experience and wouldn’t return for seconds.
They were nice enough to find a table for us instead of bench seats. But I was surprised when I asked to be seated at the sushi bar. I was told that I need to make a reservation to sit at the sushi bar in advance. I thought that was interesting since there weren’t any one sitting at the sushi bar. So I assume that other people had made the reservation. But to my Surprise, no one came and sit at the sushi bar for the entire time I was there.
As to their food, I felt it was average at best, maybe below average. Many items that I like in the previous reviews are no longer available. So check my photos of the menu to see if something that you like is still available.
Their portion sizes are smaller than the average Japanese restaurant in the Houston area. and those Japanese restaurant charge less for the similar items.
In the end, my overall experience is very disappointing.
