Picked up Mezquite to go and got 2 Asada Tacos and 2 Pastor tacos, both with corn tortillas. Overall the food was pretty good and I’d recommend. However, the tortillas fell apart pretty easily, and no limes were given for the tacos. Not the worst thing, but maybe ask for limes. The pastor came with big chunks of pineapple which I really liked. The green salsa is pretty mild but the red salsa has a nice kick too it.

Got to try the barley drink; which was pretty yummy. Ended up getting al pastor taco, asada taco and a quesataco. The service was good but the tacos weren’t hot. They have pickled carrots on the side that you can eat, which is nice. The menu is very simple so it’s pretty easy to order. I found it weird that they put plastic on top of their plates. Check in on Yelp to get free chips and guac!

This place totally makes authentic Mexican tacos. The photos don’t do it justice. The two tacos are carne asada and their queso tacos. The single taco is al pastor queso taco. With pineapple shavings on top that made it so much better. I want to say thank you for giving us the Al pastor taco it was great. Do yourself a favor and stop by. The owner is friendly and so is the sweet kind woman who took our order. My husband and I have found our new go to spot for authentic Mexican tacos. They also serve bowls or nachos …….. mmmmmmmm yummy. Thank you

Had the al pastor tacos, veggie taco, and tacoancho.
Overall very good food. Sauces match well with tacos(green and red sauce). Sometimes the meat is a little too dry.

Was in the mood to try something new. Found them on Yelp. They had me sold on the carne asada burrito, get this, with a chile relleno inside! Tasty! I also had an al pastor taco, the meat was moist and flavorful, and not greasy as you would expect from al pastor. Good food!

The good: the tacos Al pastor were delicious and the asada weren’t bad either. The $2 taco Tuesday was a pretty good deal for the area as well. Salsa was spicy and had great flavor.
The bad: it wasn’t busy, but it took a while for me to get my order. I was given 3 out of 4 of my ordered tacos and the last didn’t come until I was about to leave, 15 minutes later. When it did come, it tasted like propane and innedible; obviously rushed. Chips were underwhelming and generic for a Mexican restaurant and the hamaica was served warm and slightly sour.
The staff was polite and apologetic and hopefully they can improve the food service in the future.

You will come back the food is delicious. A large drink spinach pineapple mint with the mezquite bowl on the left and large Jamaica with the house taco, quesotaco, and tacoancho on the right. Those three taco combination is a bomb!

Holy smokes! Mezquite tacos are so incredibly good! You know how I know? I’ve been down the Baja peninsula more times than I can count and the tacos at Mezquite & Fuego are JUST LIKE the ones at the local corner taco joints with the red plastic chairs! Their chicken, al pastor, and carne asada are all cooked over mesquite charcoal so they all have a very distinct, bold smokey flavor. I got my tacos with lots of guacamole and even one taco with some crunchy chicharrón. I like that they serve tacos with blue heirloom corn tortillas–something I’ve always enjoyed for the novelty. I’ve never had pineapple and spinach agua fresca before and it was delicious and refreshing! They also have Mexican coke made with real cane sugar available. All of the staff are really friendly and seemed genuinely interested in knowing what I thought of the food. Seriously thrilled to have a new local place for my weekly taco fix. Heads up, they’re closed on Sundays. Definitely coming back!

I know our time is a difficult one right now but eating here made me forget all about it! As I ate these tacos inside my car (pretty comfortable) I suddenly felt I had been transported to downtown Mexico, DF. Wow, food can really do that . A must eat here if you consider yourself a foodie…

Friendly staff, tacos are good got one of each. I like that the tortillas are made in the restaurant. The shrimp taco was soggy and fell apart as I ate it. It is expensive compared to other taco places in the area. That is the only reason why it’s not 5 stars. Would come more often if it was not so expensive. Almost $16 for 3 tacos and a bottle coke with a $2 dollar tip. Food is delicious but if you want to see more people more often drop the prices a little.
