On a Saturday night arriving at 9:00pm we had no reservation. They asked us if we wanted a casual dinner or something more, we only wanted casual with little bites as we weren’t that hungry. So they have two areas to sit – formal dining area and the casual seating area near the bar. We sat in the casual seating area we got to choose where we wanted to sit and then they had QR codes on the table to order your food. This was great for a casual chill vibes and for something last minute! The vibes were cute, very busy and good music. Cocktails were yummy and the tacos were delicious!!! You don’t receive much “service” in this seating area as you have the QR Codes however the vibes, food and cocktails were amazing! This is great for a last minute date night or causal stroll through the Pullman markets and need something to eat!

We had an overall pleasant experience here.
Our server was very nice, though we waited almost 10 mins for service once we sat down. The drinks were great. The menu was a bit challenging to understand, since we had never had Sonoran food, and were unsure how much to order. We ended up with 3 dishes and it was plenty of food.

They brought us crispy tortillas and 2 bottles of salsa/sauce to start. I do wish there had been a bowl of salsa to make it easier to enjoy.

We ordered these items: ceviche (unexpectedly spicy), guacamole (rather small but good, the tortillas are excellent.) and the chicken main (a huge portion of chicken) with accompaniments. Everything was very flavorful. Our chicken was not served hot, and another server noticed us and quickly remedied it by bringing us another within a few minutes.

The cuisine is unique (beware of the spice if you don’t tolerate well) and the ambiance is really nice. The staff was very friendly.

I came here for a Friday afternoon lunch and had an okay experience overall, though I’ve enjoyed previous visits more. Parking was easy with their designated lot, and the atmosphere was really nice with beautiful plants and soft Spanish music playing.

There was a bit of confusion at first with being seated and ordering from the restaurant week menu, but it worked out. The guacamole appetizer was fresh and served with warm tortillas, which was a highlight. I ordered the carne asada tacos on homemade tortillas with onions and cilantro. The meat was cooked well, but a little salty for my taste. The limonada was great and had the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

For dessert, I had the tres leches cake. The cake itself was good, but the icing tasted sour, so I wasn’t able to finish it.

Overall, a decent experience with some strong points, but not as good as my previous visits.

My husband and I tried Mezquite for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant as it’s tucked to the side of the Mezcaleria. We immediately loved the ambiance as it was very low lit and vibrant. We loved our meals as everything was delicious and arrived hot considering there was a large party celebrating a birthday along with mariachi’s next to our table. As we waited for our meals and enjoyed our drinks we were enjoying the beautiful mariachi music. My spicy margaritas were Amazing!
We received excellent customer service and the general manager Adrian was wonderful and welcoming. We will definitely return with family and friends!

Beans were amazingly delicious. Had a smoky flavor and the tortillas served alongside were very good. Ceviche was a little too spicy for me. Quesadilla was also very good. Chile Relleno was just ok imo.

Visited Mezquite recently – overall a nice vibe and a great atmosphere. The tacos were a bit disappointing though; they had very little meat and were served a little cold. Still, the ambiance made it an enjoyable visit, and I’d be open to giving it another try.

Came for brunch, this place is bib gourmand, Michelin. We unfortunately did not get that kind of service. The server forgot important elements of the dishes we ordered, we had to repetitively ask for items so we can enjoy a complete meal. Barbacoa was $24 ($4 added egg)and should come with tortillas. Came after we asked already ate a quarter of the meal when we remembered the tortillas! The refills for drinks were also asked for repeatedly. One of the dishes didn’t come with egg on top that we paid extra for. Server looked like we were bothering him and we were the first customer there. Lol

Very delicious, well crafted food. My family and I have gone two times and food is just great! Adrien and Carolyn checked up on us often and made sure we were well taken care of. We ordered many plates from the menu and I have to say they are all delicious. Server was Paste, he was great and very attentive.

The team at Pullman Market’s Mezquite prepares delicious and expertly presented dishes. This welcoming spot provides an alternative to San Antonio’s Tex-Mex food scene with offerings inspired by the cuisine of Sonora, Mexico. The dishes are beef-centric mesquite-grilled, and exceptional.
Simple, fresh ingredients… and the team is friendly, thoughtful and clearly cares about hospitality…. be sure to ask for Jose. Highly recommend… cheers!

The food is different as it is Sonoran Mexico regional cuisine. I really liked the grilled chicken. It was amazing. They offer lots of salsas and even the flour tortillas were different as they were thinner and heavier than normal. It is a nice evening out but is a little pricey for Mexican food. They had musicians playing in the restaurant and a very nice atmosphere. The service was pretty slow but it was busy and we were a large party.
