We stopped into Mezcali for lunch and were blown away. We were seated immediately and greeted with warm chips and two types of salsa, a mild and a spicy, both of which tasted incredibly fresh.
The drinks are a must-try! They are massive, well-priced, and even come with fun lights in them. Most importantly, you can tell they use quality ingredients rather than cheap mixers; they tasted like authentic, high-end margaritas. The food was phenomenal and the portions were huge—served on massive plates and packed with flavor. We already can’t wait to come back with all our friends and family!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN TOWN! Order ANYTHING its ALL Amazing ! I have them make me a Burrito with Steak Chicken Shrimp Beans Onions Peppers Tomatos and Rice with Diablo Sauce and Cheese and its the best thing you will ever eat. This is the ONLY Mexican Restaurant I will eat at while working in the Huntersville/Charlotte Area.

We eat here multiple times a week, and it never disappoints! The chips and salsa are absolutely amazing — always fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to every meal.
The service is consistently fast, even when they’re busy, and the wait staff is always friendly and welcoming.
We especially want to recognize Cristian — he was incredible! He kept our drinks refilled without us ever having to ask, made sure our order was exactly right, and checked on us just the right amount. He truly made the experience even better.

Liz has been the reason we keep coming to Mezcal. She makes us feel welcome and makes us smile and laugh. And made my birthday special. She takes real good care of us and deserves a raise !! Quack Quack!!! Five Stars for this place and her. Oh— and the food and Margaritas are awesome !!

First time at the place. Tastiest and fresh tasting salsa. The food was great seasoned perfectly. Horchata was yummy . Highly recommend the deep fried fish and seafood fajita. Our server was super sweet and received great service. Simple but good Mexican restaurant!!

We were a party of 4 tonight. We have been to this wonderful restaurant several times – always enjoying the BEST food and drink! For several of our visits we have had the good fortune to have Christian as our waiter. Christian is attentive without hovering. He is always smiling and quick to grab whatever you need. We have tried several different dishes and all have been superb! You will not be disappointed with your meal at Mezcali and ask for Christian!

I will say this Mexican restaurant offers a
Big Bang For Your Buck(BBFYB). The dine in portion sizes are good.
Karimar was our server and she was a true delight, attentive, very helpful, and most of all very patient for our indecisive group.
The vibes are laid with ample dine in seating and a bar. The menu is pretty extensive with a wide variety of traditional Mexican dishes and a few with a Mezcali spin.
Upon arrival complimentary chips, mild, and hot salsa were provided. We of course added a large queso bowl to complement. Chips were freshly made warm, light, airy, and crunchy. I noticed I’ve gotten spoiled with the dedicated chip replenisher most Mexican restaurants have because we had to ask for more chips each time. For spirited drinks we ordered a jumbo original frozen margarita and the beautiful sangria margarita. They were good and reasonably priced.
Entrees ordered were the Ultimate Burrito, Mezcali’s Best, and a Chicken dish smothered with cheese, bacon, and onions.
The food was good but the dish with bacon needs tweaking. I ran into many fatty bites of bacon because it was not cooked long enough. I would recommend using already cooked bacon, bacon bits, or no bacon at all to help this issue. Undercooked bacon can be a problem. The one last issue I noted while dining was the manager attending and checking in with surrounding customers seated near us but not once coming to our table to ask how our experience was. It was very obvious to me because eye contact was made with him yet he did not make one attempt to stop by. Not sure how to label this behavior yet. Will have to pay another visit to make final judgement.

We had another amazing experience tonight thanks to our favorite server, Liz! We stop in a couple times a month and we always request to have Liz wait on us. she greets us with such warmth and genuine kindness, you can tell she likes her job and really cares. Liz always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. She remembers our favorite drinks, our orders and never makes us feel rushed.
Jorge usually brings the chips and salsas and all of their salsas are really good… lots of flavor and aren’t like tomato puree. Jorge introduced us to the verde salsa and we like it a lot too. Jorge does a great job and is very friendly, you can tell he’s a hard worker. We enjoy seeing him when we stop in.
We have ordered lots of different dishes, all have been the best Mexican food in Huntersville. My husband likes the Burrito Mexicana with grilled chicken, the Mexican hibachi is great, their guac regional (fresh guac) is really good, guacamole chicken, their mole chicken, I got a grilled fish dish one time that was amazing, fajitas are great. We’ve never had a bad meal there and like to try different things. The tamarind margarita is my favorite.
The owner, Juan, is there a lot and friendly.

I stumbled across this gem with my daughter and we were nothing short of impressed. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server Karla was very friendly and attentive. She made great recommendations and visited us frequently. The food came quickly despite how busy they were and was hot and delicious! We were in town celebrating a birthday but will definitely return to try some of the other items that we did not get to enjoy. A++
