Mezcalero Our mission is to delight your palate with food creations that incorporate the best Wisconsin cheeses and fresh products with traditional flavors of Mexico. We practice contemporary and traditional culinary techniques to produce a modern cuisine that refuses restrictions that impede the creation of new flavors, textures and aromas to titillate your senses. Our passion for service and care for all we do aims to delight and please our customers in a relaxed atmosphere. Every Thursday Open Jam and Friday’s Live Mariachi Music and Dj Dancing Music. Every other Thursday we have an Open Jam. Saturdays we host live bands and support local bands and we are grateful for all the entertainment they provide to our customers.

Really like karaoke nights here. Ben, Ceci and rest of staff are very professional in everything they do. Very attentive and nice. Food and drinks were real good, especially the Mezcalero burger and torta with fries on the side. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. Definitely coming back

3 stars because I have gone here late weekends in the past and it is a great spot for pick up on weekends and the enchiladas are good.
However, they should NOT have been taking orders last night. I placed a pick up order and was told it was going to be a 10 minute wait, that is fine. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I noticed that cars were lined up half a mile down the road and thought it was odd. I knew it was Saturday, but have never seen it that busy before.
I walk in and there was a MASSIVE party going on, full to the brim with dancefloor packed, etc.
Given the huge crowd and low staff amount, it was impossible to get a hold of anyone to pick up the order. There was only 1 bartender and 2 wait staff for a jam packed building. I waited at the podium for 18 minutes before realizing it was a lost cause and just left.
I want to be clear this was NOT the fault of any of the staff working. It was way too busy for a private event and they should have not taken public orders.

The chicken mole was fantastic and I love that it came with white rice.
My husband ordered the beef barbacoa tacos with quac – really enjoyed how simple and well seasoned and delicious everything was. We will be back!

I think I’ve found my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Mezcalero’s food is deliously prepared, previsely seasoned, and appealingly presented. Our waitress was attentive; she took a personal interest in our dining experience. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated, the tables have floral decoration. An outdoor patio is a welcome option.

I’ve ordered a few times from here, and the food has been good. I do recommend some of the menu items. The staff were friendly and helpful when I had a mix-up with my order. They are on UberEats, but it takes longer to get food. Their tacos are good as well, and the meat is not over seasoned. This is a nice little spot is not so bad.

Stick with the Tacos at Mezcalero. Its a shame my party was served bland cardboard chips when the provided salsa was good. The Baja Style Fish Tacos while being slightly over dressed had a great fresh flavor along with the side of corn elote. The Combination platter provided to be underwhelming with both the chicken mini chimichanga and the chicken enchilada drowning in cheese while the taco al pastor was delicious.
My party also ran into a few issues with the Service as two of the members food orders did not make it to the kitchen until after most of us were served. (We did have a group of 10+) Average Value 2.5 (5.0)

Stopped here randomly when we were in town from Iowa and SO glad we did. The food was delicious and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. The salmon tacos were fantastic and the elote that came with my tacos was so flavorful. Really impressed with the food here and will come here again if I’m back in the MKE area!

I love this place! First time here, and what an experience!! The salmon tacos tasted amazing, bright, and the sause added a kick! The drinks were spot on! The owner took the time to introduce himself, adding further to the friendly, welcoming atmosphere! I WILL return! Highly recommended!

It was a cold and rainy night so we pretty much had the dining room to ourselves. There were some folks eating at the bar, but with 7 of us, we needed a table. The dining area is large, yet the low ceilings made it feel more cozy.
The service was excellent. The young man who was our server had a LITTLE trouble with some of the English, but he got assistance when he needed it. He was VERY attentive, warm, friendly, and very sweet. He worked hard and made sure we were all happy.
The food is delicious. There were a few varieties of tacos ordered, a chimichanga, a couple burritos, guacamole, and the one spouse who doesn’t like Mexican Food ( I know, right?) had a burger and fries. Their guacamole is so creamy and felt light. It wasn’t a heavy dip, almost like a whipped dip – that was how light it felt. Oh and it was so fresh and pure we all just loved it. I had the Burrito Macho with ground beef as my protein. Very large and PACKED with meat with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I MIGHT have been able to finish the whole thing had I not mindlessly munched on chips and salsa while waiting for people to arrive. But hey, then I wouldn’t have had lunch for today. So win/win. Their chips are very tasty on their own as they are seasoned in addition to being served with salsa.
We will well taken care of and had a truly enjoyable evening.
