I had a great experience at Mexico Restaurant on Forest Hill Avenue! When I walked in I was greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming service. The food was delicious and everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
The chips and salsa came out fast and were the perfect start to the meal. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price. The shrimp and cheese dip was on point, and every bite was full of authentic Mexican flavor.
What really stood out was the consistency every dish at the table was made just right. Whether it was the enchiladas, tacos, or the chimichangas, each plate looked amazing and tasted even better. If you’re looking for great Mexican food in Richmond with fast service, a clean atmosphere, and a comfortable vibe, Mexico Restaurant on Forest Hill is definitely the spot. I’ll be back again soon!

Ive ordered from this restaurant multiple times, and have had the same experience every time. The service is great, the food is terrible unfortunately. The white sauce smells and tastes sour. The salsa is less than mediocre. And their chimichungas, a $15 meal, is the size of toquitos. After one bite i immediately had thoughts of trashing it and going to get my dinner somewhere else

Very good, authentic Mexican food. Not Tex-Mex but real Mexican cuisine. Their salsa is great! The facilities are rather large and can handle a lot of people. Wait staff were very friendly and responsive, my drink never got empty, and they were quick to take my order and check on me. The food was very good, not the best Mexican food I’ve had, but very good. My only negative is the steak in the burrito I had was not as tender as I’d like. Otherwise, I’d give them 5 stars. They were HUGE portions. I’d recommend them to friends and family, and will visit again next time I’m in the area.

Good staple in the Richmond area. This is a pretty large location with lots of seating inside and a patio outside with a cute little waterfall. Food is pretty fast and overall pretty tasty. Nothing to special about their menu, normal Mexican fare. Everything I’ve ever had here has been seasoned and cooked very well. Good hard working staff and always seem pretty polite. If you are looking a good quick meal or need a place to host a large party, this is a good choice.

Excellent again! Awesome service…fast and efficient. Excellent Mexican food! (We’re told it has a Central Mexican taste.) Dos Equis Amber, tall, is the bomb on a hot Virginia day! Nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating available but it was too hot on the day we visited.

With alot of places having their limitations it can be challenging to find somewhere that you can kick back and just feel like it was before the storm hit. They have the patio that’s very accommodating and let’s get straight to the food. I ordered the ribeye shrimp and steak and Mexican potatoes. When I tell you they deliver, THEY DELIVER (taste that is). The food comes out sizzling. The peppers are cooked to perfection, the steak it cooked just like I like it, well done but not burnt with plenty of juice and flavor. We’re not going to mention the drinks and getting a bang for every buck, even down to the cost of the food. With times been financially challenging this place is the spot. My meal only cost $20! Yes $20 for shrimp, ribeye steak smothered in peppers and onions and potatoes. Oh and yes you get complementary chips and dip. Oh and the seafood burrito was amazing as well! My son ordered that and you know I had to try it. Try this place out and tell me I’m wrong.

I don’t know about y’all, but my mama taught me that if I didn’t have something nice to say, then I shouldn’t say nothing at all.
I found the Pollo Fiesta to be perfectly grilled. The fresh delicious flavor of the vegetables was beautifully preserved and accented by the grilling.
I also loved the salsa they brought out fist thing. I could taste actual tomatoes.
This was a big win and as a bonus there was plenty of room to park my tractor
