Tex-Mex Restaurant, Mexican Food, Homemade Corn Tortillas and chips, Best Margaritas, Happy Hour, Catering Tex-Mex, Fajitas, Fort Worth since 1936. Now celebrating 80 years of great Mexican cuisine!
Since 1936, Mexican Inn Cafe has been serving delicious Tex-Mex specialties to the people of North Texas. We’ve long been a Fort Worth tradition, and now we’ve grown to include locations in several nearby communities.
Each day at the Mexican Inn Cafe, we steam fresh corn and grind it into masa. From that masa, we prepare delicious corn tortillas and our special chips, which can only be found at Mexican Inn. Our tortillas and chips are only two of the many reasons why our restaurants have been legends for 80 years!
Established joint serving Mexican grub, such as enchiladas & tacos, in a casual setting.

Ate at Mexican Inn Cafe when I wanted classic Tex-Mex that’s easy and familiar. Chips and salsa hit the table fast, and the whole place has that old-school, neighborhood-restaurant vibe where you can just relax. I went with enchiladas and rice/beans—simple, filling, and it tasted consistent. Nothing felt “fancy,” but that’s kind of the point here. Only thing is it can get busy and a little loud, and service speed depends on the rush, but overall it’s a solid go-to when you want comfort food

Bus boy was so helpful,my mom was feeling very sick that day but once she laid eyes on him her terminal condition vanished. It’s almost like his presence healed her in every way she could be healed. He also made me feel some sort of way. Food was cool too.

I’ve been eating at Mexican Inn for 50 years. (the 8th Avenue cafe is a legacy location, not one of the new modernized locations) If you’re looking for good authentic Mexican food that has NOT been Tex-Mex mutated, Mexican Inn is it! Great food and good service at reasonable prices.
There is a really good reason they have been around for 85 years!

Worst experience, terrible old mex waitress She didn’t want to serve us mexicans. She was Johnny on the spot with those gringos. The manager trying to embarrass us. Yelling the BOGO Is only on certain things. I been going there for 15yrs. I know what I can get. I always get the same plate BOGO… They accomplished their goal. I will never go back there

Yummy food, great service. Tamales were delicious, husband had the brisket burrito and loved it. I had the brisket enchiladas…delicious! The brisket tacos are great, too – enjoy the pinto beans that accompany them! Enjoy their homemade Fritos…but save room for your main dish!

We always pass by this little restaurant and we decided to give it a try yesterday. The service was great, our waitress would constantly check up on us, however, the food was ok. It’s more Tex-Mex, not authentic Mexican food. Other than that, it’s worth giving a try! We had the Deluxe Nachos and the lunch-portioned Fajitas.
