I’ve been coming to Mexi Drive for years — it used to be my go-to spot, especially for the Choncho burrito. That was always my favorite big, flavorful, and worth every penny. But lately, everything has gone downhill.
The portions have gotten way smaller, and the quality just isn’t there anymore. I even started noticing they don’t listen when you point out that something isn’t what you ordered. They just make excuses like “it’s always been like that.”
What really pushed me over the edge was the Choncho burrito I got recently. I never even wanted fries in it to begin with, but I didn’t mind until now. My last few burritos have been nothing but fries inside no meat, no protein, just a bunch of soggy fries wrapped in a tortilla. That’s not what I’ve been ordering for years.
It’s disappointing to see a place I used to love go downhill like this. I don’t mind paying a little extra for good food, but not for smaller portions, wrong orders, and excuses.

Only downside was temperature. But it was 9:15pm.
Definitely good and I’d say a heathier alternative to rin consitos. Quality, less salt and much less fat/grease.

I used to really enjoy this place — their photos looked amazing, and the food used to match that. But sadly, things have gone downhill for a long time now.
The food quality has dropped way below even the cheapest spots in town. I know the prices are low, but that doesn’t excuse food this bad. Everything tasted stale and thrown together with no care. The flavors were bland, the ingredients didn’t seem fresh, and honestly, it felt like they were just cutting corners everywhere.
It’s disappointing because this place had potential and a good past reputation, but now it feels like they’re relying on old photos and low prices to pull people in — and it’s not working anymore. Definitely won’t be coming back unless they make some serious changes.
If you care about taste or quality, even on a budget, this is not the place anymore. Sad to say, but it was a complete letdown.

I go here every weened because its soooooo good. Great prices and very friendly staff. Highly recommend the carne asada fries. My wife and kids absolutely love this place and as I said, it has become our weekend tradition.

To the owner: how do u have pretty good food but let your employees drive your business down through horrible customer service. I ordered quesabirria twice and twice there were no consomme. First time it wasnt in the bag so i had to head back again after i got home. Second time i made sure to check. Yup as expected. Not in there. I ask for it and they said they dont have consomme. How do u recently advertise quesabirria and not even have consomme. That’s like selling fries with no ketchup. Actually it’s worse then that cus u can eat fries plain. It’s like getting a burger with no condiments. I have not once had good experience here. Probably been here about 10 times. All from the drive thru. Not going back there again. Incomplete orders, rude, in a rush, lack of friendliness, not understanding my orders.
