The chicken and waffles was as good as Lolo’s in Phoenix. Actually, better.
First of all, the sweet strawberry butter was something I’ve never had, and I’m a fan. It reminded me of the King of Queens episode where Spence eats a dozen butterballs to win a baseball ticket. If he had to eat this strawberry butter, it wouldn’t have been a disgusting chore.
They also have a spicy syrup, which added so much complimentary flavor, leaving a little burn.
The fried chicken has a great tasting batter, and you get a wing, leg, thigh and breast. It’s a lot of food for $16

Great experience at this Metro Diner! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back.

I came here for lunch with colleagues, and we had a great experience. The service was super polite and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out quickly, which was perfect for a lunch break. My dish was absolutely delicious—the mix of rice, fresh veggies, and crispy chicken topped with a tangy sauce pulled all the flavors together perfectly. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for both the food and the service.

I’ve been to Metro Diner before and have always enjoyed it, which is why this visit was disappointing. I ordered the same breakfast platter I usually get, but this time the pancakes came out looking very different than normal. They were extremely tough I could barely cut them and when I tried them, they were doughy tasting and rubbery inside.
Our waitress didn’t check on us after the food came out, so I had to flag her down to explain the issue and ask if they could be remade. She brought out a second set of pancakes, but they looked exactly the same and unfortunately had the same tough, rubbery texture.
What was most surprising was that the table behind us had also ordered pancakes, and theirs looked completely different, fluffy and normal, compared to mine.
The waitress never followed up to ask if the replacement was better or how the rest of our meal was. I understand that kitchens can have off moments, but the lack of quality control and follow-up made the experience frustrating.

Ordered the Biscuits and Gravy meal. It was A lot of Food and I enjoyed it greatly. Took half of it To Go since it was way too much food.. We had Teek as our Waitress. She was very Attentive and very Friendly!

First time in was excellent! Our server Teek was on top of it even though they were busy. Our drinks never even reached half. Super sweet and happy staff in the whole place. Very diverse menu. Plenty of choices. We had meat lovers breakfast bowl and the fruity waffles with side of eggs and bacon. The flavored tea was very good. Coffee was a robust roast that tasted better than big chain coffee shops. Was very happy with the whole experience. Can’t wait to go back and try lunch/dinner options. The place was really clean and seemed to have a great staff all working together. You guys earned some new regulars for sure!

First off, the food was delicious, I got the shrimp and grits topped with an overeasy egg!!! What’s gonna bring me back is the server Teek! She was so nice, professional and extremely funny! There’s nothing better going to a restaurant for the first time and having the top notch experience I received! I came solo this time but I’m bring my family with me on the next visit and telling my friend about the amazing Metro Diner!

Metro diner is hands down the best place to get breakfast in the Melbourne/Viera area and possibly in all of Brevard. The food is amazing, literally everything on the menu and the service and atmosphere are top notch. Changed this to 5 stars actually because they responded to an issue I had in my recent review! My granddaughter was head over hills in love with their chicken tenders and fries.
The mango tea is a great way to wash it all down.
And Wally is a superstar ✨️
He was quick to greet us and made us immediately feel welcome. His smile is infectious and his customer service skills are impeccable.
