This is one of the best diners in the area, and I’ve tried many of them. Its a very typical diner, but a bit better than the others, very clean, great desserts, good prices, and it has cheap wine and good cocktails. I bring my family here often now. The prices are very good, the service is quick, and most of the menu items are very good, though a few entrees are just fair. Order what you’d expect a diner to be good at making and you’ll be very happy here. Gravy items – get it on the side, or they poor it on.

My experience here was horrible. My waitress couldn’t get our orders right from the very start, meaning our drinks (it was only three of us). Then When our food finally came she dropped it off and never came back, so we had to go find her for our check. The woman whom seated up was rude. Oh and they use artificial eggs, that is very unacceptable for the price. The food is nasty and cooked throughly. I would NEVER eat there again! HORRIBLE SERVICE

Good food. Pleasant ambience. Great pricing. Large and roomy seating for big families. Large selection on the menus. My wife and I have seven children and Metro Diner is by far the easiest and best place for us to go out to eat. Always very accommodating!

If you used to like going to the Metro, you won’t anymore! They have raised their menu prices and all of the best items on the specials menu have been taken out. I’ve been a regular customer for years, eating there 4 or 5 times a week. Tonight I complained about half of my $17 lamb chops being fat to Lynn who is a hostess. She came back and said she talked to one of the owner’s Jerry, who refused to take anything off my check. Lynn then had the nerve to say to me that my complaints were an almost daily occurrence. Actually, the last time I complained was 2 to 3 months ago when the expensive prime rib I ordered also had too much fat on it. Shame on Lynn and the Metro ownership for treating a good customer this way. From now on I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. It’s their loss!!!

We (party of 2) went mother’s day night. We walked in and were immediately greeted with a pungent aroma of dirty wet sneakers. We waited around upfront while the hostess and waitresses continued with their conversation completely ignoring our presence. About 3 minutes have gone by and they seat us. Simple order, a burger and roast beef sandwich. Waitress never asked how I wanted my burger and she came back about 3 times to tell us they didn’t have what we ordered. Standard wait time, got the food, my girlfriend who ordered the roast beef sandwich, got a plate with 3 slices of roast beef and some funny looking orangish “gravy.” My burger bun fell apart after 2 bites and while trying to pick up the pieces, I see my girlfriend slicing a Kaiser roll with a butter knife in. Feeble attempt at redemption on a roast beef sandwich. We both agreed it was the worst meal we ever had. When we went to pay, the manager rang us up, and the only thing he asked was if I was “leaving a tip on my card and how much”

First time stopping in at after passing it everyday and having a crappy night. Got seated pretty quick but once at the table my husband and I sat for 25 minutes while waitresses walked by us and served others who got there after us!! No one came to our table for drinks or anything. The waitresses kind of looked like they were on drugs as well. Very disappointed.

Good service from the staff. I’m disabled and when we go there they are very accommodating. Great burgers, great breakfasts and the tuna club is good too. I love their fries! Great bakery items at the front desk.
