Wow starting with the hospitality/service very nice and professional we went in minutes before closing time and was welcomed in without hesitation. Food service is quick and delicious!!! Decided to try this out based on word of mouth. Came on a Saturday around 3, there were customers enjoying the food, parking was available around back. Honestly I hadn’t considered trying it until I heard something about it.
My expectations were cautious at best. So many local barbecue places are mid at best. I was pleasantly surprised! The brisket was flavorful, great texture, good smoke! I had the chopped brisket potatoe. One of the best on this side of the valley. We were welcomed with beans and cornbead. The beans were tasty, but the cornbread was amazing!
The atmosphere was on point for a BBQ place. There is a bar, for lone diners, or a cold one. Service- friendly, attentive, on point.
The Valley’s BBQ scene is up and coming and Mesquite Valley is one to watch!

The place was easy to find. Our first time there. Plenty of food for the amount I paid. I ordered the bbq chicken with 2 sides and my wife the combo meat with two sides. They brought out baked beans with spicy sausage and two squares of sweet corn bread even before we placed our orders. That’s a great detail. You get free coke refills. The food was tasty even without the bbq sauce. My wife was happy with the place and the food.

Talk about good food, excellent service and good atmosphere. Started with beans and cornbread. Nathan was our server, very attentive and a good conversationalist. He asked us what we thought as we enjoyed our meal. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fried mushrooms as my side. My husband had the BBQ poorboy with onion rings. There was so much meat on both sandwiches that we have enough for supper tonight. The tea was good and fresh. The jalapeño cheese sausage was delicious and the pulled pork was tender and moist. Highly recommend.

Seeing the other comments made me feel less crazy. The food tastes WEIRD. Not bad but weird. Like the cornbread tastes like… cake. Like cake mix. The bbq sauce was very sweet. The green beans were all onion and bacon mush. The coleslaw was all apples? It was all very strange lol. Not sure what the recipes are but umm. The salad, mac & cheese, and chicken were a decent choice. Our waitress was great though & the girls working up front were very nice!

Atmosphere: I had high hopes coming in , greeted at door, TVs around the room were nice.
Service & Food: Waitress was lost at one point she couldn’t remember if we were coming or going so she asked if we ate already. She had only taken order and later find out she neglected to tell us hamburger wait time. We were not bothered by it because we thought the burger was going to be well done at least it wasn’t. Med rare 20 plus minutes. The manager came up to us apologizing on time again we didn’t know about the outcome until later but manager offered free food we declined we were expecting well done. Burger comes the bun was toasted but cold the potato salad had potato not cooked through. The burger was med rare. The other order was a potato with brisket. Brisket had no flavor the sauce given wasn’t balanced tasted more like vinegar than sweet. Again someone came to our table this time owner He was very nice Mr Smith. He is working on kinks but is improving. Surely it will improve. The beans and cornbread cake were a nice touch for complimentary service. The highlight for me was that the beans were good. They were very starchy and thick.

First time and I enjoyed the brisket. It was not dry and had good flavor. The chicken was smoked and it gave that texture like homemade. The Mac and cheese was delicious. Don’t have complaints about the place. Mr. Daniel our server was attentive. Also I recommend the grill onions and jalapeños let’s support our locals

The people were really nice. BUT, when we got to our hotel and opened up our food. It was DEFINITELY not good. I spent a few dollars short of $100 with my tip. I can taste lighter fluid. Most pieces of “meat” are squishy fat, there is a very large piece of gristle on my baked potato. The 3 meat meals were toddler portions s. I thought everything was bigger in Texas. Clearly not this part of it. I am devastated, because it is Super Bowl Time, I’m a foodie and I ain’t got no stinking entree!

Had the 2 meat plate chose moist brisket(1 large slice) and 1 pork spare rib(large rib) you get sweet corn bread and your choice of white bread or flour tortillas and complimentary beans in a cup, 2 sides included got coleslaw(came with raisins and apple pieces not a fan of too much sweetness) and I couldn’t believe they had one of my favorite sides, deep fried battered mushrooms(giants) brisket was falling apart soft(good for me) and the pork rib was tasty as well but did I mention the deep fried mushrooms! atmosphere was okay music can be considered loud if you go with someone else i went by myself and unsweetened tea was good, I overcharged myself $1 paid cash thought total was the bottom figure on receipt gave them $25 brought change returned $1
