The host didn’t tell the server we had been seated so we got off to a ruff start.
Anthony the bread guy was killing it. Sabrina spent the rest of service making up for the delay. Very gracious and actually wanted to give us best quality service.

8oz filets were on 2/1 Tuesday, can’t beat that. Both temperatures perfectly done, rare+1 and medium-rare. Garlic mash was forgettable, mushrooms were grilled well but slightly over seasoned. A seasoning crust on mushrooms is a bit much.

I wouldn’t suggest the sandwich. And sadly, the bread pudding was trash. Heavy on dried bread and abscent the pudding.

This was a quick bite and in no way a deep dive into their menu. They have great booths, standard tables and several spaces, so semi-private dining is an option.

The bar area was festive and well subscribed.

Bonus: they didn’t blink at 3 people in shorts and tees.

Okay, Place needs more structure and some updating bathrooms are not kept up like they should be will a menu w their price tags..
they put up at weirdly placed Table next to 10 feet from kitchen.. place needs a remodel bad haven’t been here since 2012 and have heard some displeasing reviews over the yrs but food was good, saw the young blonde waiter 4 times total.. glad I ordered a whole bottle of wine or I’d been pissed!
Anyway.. paid top dollar as usual
but made sure I ate every bite and drank every drop of my $38 bottle of wine ! Ha
Steak was cooked correctly!

I had such a wonderful first experience at Mesquite Chop House! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the customer service was top-notch from start to finish.

I especially want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Zoe. She was so sweet, attentive, and made us feel so welcome the entire time. Her kindness and amazing service truly made our first visit unforgettable. Because of her and the overall experience, we will definitely be coming back!

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, drinks and an even better dining experience!

We have been here before and loved it but it had been a while. We decided to go back, then I read some of the bad reviews, and almost decided to go elsewhere but thought, nah, I want to see if its really that bad now. Honestly, it was great! We had an early reservation (5:45) and arrived around 5:40. We walked in the door and was seated immediately. They weren’t very busy for a Friday night, I’m assuming because of some of the recent negative reviews. The staff was very friendly, our appetizer (bacon wrapped shrimp) was awesome and whatever they gave us to spread on our bread was next level! I ordered a ribeye cooked medium, and my wife ordered the boneless grilled chicken breast and both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly! We both ordered the garlic mashed potatoes loaded and the reviews were spot on with this though… They were bad, but with a lot of salt and some pepper they were edible. Mesquite Chophouse, y’all have to fix this!!! Potatoes aren’t hard to make… Like at all! No flavor and they really did make us wonder if they were instant. Not to mention it cost me an extra $8 just to have them as my side. A steak should come with a side, but anyways, our experience was excellent! I would recommend maybe trying to beat the crowd if you plan on dining here, it worked out great for us! Also, the chefs name is Blair, I think, and he gave me the best steak a restaurant has given me in a long time!!! Good job bro! I hope management has started working out some of the issues other customers had but we didn’t have any problems tonight! Thank you guys for an awesome experience and date night!!!

This place was pretty good 10 years ago. Stopped in while in town. You’ll get a better steak from Outback… Mashed potatoes were ice cold. Remoulade sauce with the crab cakes was off. Server was great however.

Went here for a birthday celebration so we were seated in a separate room for large groups.
We had two waitresses and they were great at handling 18 people.
Of course with large groups, the food is brought out when everything is done which meant most of our food was cold.
I did get feedback that the salad with salmon was an 8/10, the steak was seasoned well, the veggies were tasty, and the pasta was average.
Overall, the dinner was good enough but I will return with a smaller group to see how good the food is when its more fresh.

I was there for my 60th birthday with my husband, the food and drink was excellent. Our server, Zoe was very attentive even though she had a large party elsewhere, she did not neglect us on service. I’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I went to Mesquite Chop House for dinner/ date night. We were highly impressed. We were greeted by the friendliest hostess named Alyson. She was pleasant and seated us at a nice clean table. The waitress Arebella provided tasty recommendations. The service was top notch! We will be going back soon!!

We went the Monday before Christmas for an early company dinner, and there were 8 in our party. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, and it was not busy. Our area was quiet and pretty clean, but the decor was very sparse and kind of forgotten looking, no ambiance. Our waitress (“Ask for Mo”) took a very long time to come for drink and appetizer orders, repeatedly brought things we either didn’t order, or didn’t bring what we did. She acted like she was doing us a favor to wait on the table. We got one small basket of rolls for the entire table, no more (they were warm and tasty). No explanation of menu or recommendations, only telling us when we asked for an appetizer with bacon, that the kitchen was out. The drinks and appetizers took 30+ mins to arrive, entrees the same, and the sides were very underwhelming. I got a filet steak (it was excellent) with the garlic mashed potatoes and brocolini rabe (which I had to ask for 3 times because she kept forgetting to bring it. It came when I was almost finished). The potatoes were bland and had no garlic flavor, or even any flavor at all. They were cool and glue-y in texture. The broccoli wasnt brocolini rabe, but whole steamed broccoli crowns drizzled with lemon juice. My husband got the pecan crusted grouper on the mashed sweet potatoes, and it was so unappealing. The pecan crust was unevenly cooked and the sweet potatoes were watery, so there was a big puddle of wet potatoes and liquid under his fish. I don’t know how it tasted, but it looked just yucky. The menu was also very limited, just 2 pages including appetizers and salads, but the drink menu was 3 pages or more.

My husband can’t have alcohol and asked for plain pineapple juice from the bar. Not sure what type of liquor they added, but it came spiked. Smell and taste confirmed it. After having so many other drink and menu difficulties, we didn’t bring it to the server’s attention and just set it aside.

Waters were filled a few times, but usually got almost empty first. She did clear plates, but didn’t check that she was taking away necessary silverware or offer more to replace it. Overall it was one of the most expensive and underwhelming meals I’ve been to in a long time. Our table was a jackpot for our server, with nearly everyone ordering drinks, appetizers and desserts with their entrees. It probably could have been even more lucrative if she had just been a bit more professional (not even friendly). I gladly overlook mediocre food if the service is stellar, or enjoy food if the service isn’t up to par, but this was a deadly and unpleasant combo.

The restaurant never got busy (a big red flag on a holiday week), and when I went to the restroom, there were many dirty areas in the restaurant, especially the floors. My toilet had a big brown ring in the bowl (quite a feat in a self-flushing toilet), cleaning supplies were tossed under a bench in the room, and there were paper towels scattered on the floor.

Definitely won’t be going on my dime again or recommending. For the same amount or less, there are many better options, like Tekila just a few blocks away.
