Ambiance was inviting and lovely. We went during brunch so didn’t need reservations but made one anyway as we were a party of 5 just in case. There’s a small parking lot but is shared by the other businesses and usually filled. Parking was a struggle even on a Sunday where you dont pay the meters.
Service was courteous and quick; he was friendly and helpful and easily reachable.
Note- they take foodie card but only for parties of 3 or less. They do also have a rewards system when you input your phone number during check out.
They provide free refills on soft drinks.

I booked this restaurant for Valentine’s Day and overall it was a beautiful place. The ambiance was lovely and even though it was very packed, the managers were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and even offered to take pictures for us, which was a really kind gesture. The food was absolutely amazing honestly, everything we ordered was delicious and worth the visit.
My only issue was with the seating. When I made the reservation, I specifically requested a booth because we were a party of five and needed the space. Unfortunately, that request was completely ignored. We were seated at a table in the very back where servers were constantly passing by, making noise, and carrying plates over my father-in-law’s head, which felt uncomfortable and a bit unsafe.
Another disappointment was at the end when it came time to pay. While I was entering a custom tip on the POS, the server told me I had to use the percentage option instead. When I asked why there was a custom option then, she responded by saying, “This won’t cover my house bill,” which honestly shocked and confused me. I planned to tip $20, which I felt was fair considering she rarely checked on us, didn’t bring our food (someone else did), and didn’t clear our plates. When I told her I would give $20 in cash, she seemed upset and walked away without even saying thank you or good night.
Overall, the place is beautiful and the food is excellent, and I truly appreciated how kind the managers were. However, the seating request being ignored and the uncomfortable interaction regarding the tip did leave a negative impression on what was supposed to be a special Valentine’s celebration but i would still recommend this restaurant because the atmosphere and food really are worth experiencing.

Mesita is such a cute spot with a great vibe. The service was good and our waiter gave us a free shot. My only thing is they didn’t have any of the holiday drinks they advertised. I ordered the street corn and it was delicious. The food and service were both really good, and the drinks were also amazing. I’d definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

Such a great date night spot right in the neighborhood. We started with the tropical margarita—not too sweet and super refreshing—paired with the queso fundido skillet dip, which was amazing and a must-order.
For mains, my husband went with the three tacos (steak + chicken), and I had the steak fajitas, which were absolutely delicious and full of flavor.
Our server Julianna was fantastic—attentive, warm, and always smiling—and she topped off the night by offering RumChata shots to finish things off.
Great food, great service, great vibes. We’ll definitely be back.

What a great place and great service! I hosted my work party there, and from the first step of booking to the night of, everything was great. Jenna was super responsive, kind, and patient with all my questions and really set me up for a wonderful party. The night of the event Raschel, our bartender, was incredible! She was able to take care of a group of 35 by getting drinks nonstop, getting the food out, and just really accommodated to all of our needs. She checked in often to make sure we were having fun, and even served a round of shots on the house! The DJ was great, and the energy was just so fun.

We went to Mesita for my wife’s birthday. She was treated as if she were VIP, my kids and I benefited from that. Jerry and team made sure to find our table quickly; a reservation is highly recommended. The ambiance was great with high energy and the food was too good. I couldn’t write a review long enough to adequately describe how well this restaurant is ran but you should be confident of visiting this Mexican restaurant before others. The prices are right, the service too and you’ll enjoy the food. The portions served are enough to have leftovers which taste great the next day. Mesita has caring management and the staff work extremely hard to keep you happy. Happy to recommend this restaurant

Mesita Rockville Centre has such a fun and welcoming vibe! The food was outstanding — the buffalo wings were flavorful, the sweet plantains were to die for, and the coconut margarita was an absolute hit. Everything was packed with flavor and beautifully done.
What really made the night special was the service. Our waiter/bartender, ALEJANDRO, was amazing — attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. He truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience.

This was my first time at Mesita and it definitely won’t be my last! From the moment we sat down, everything was incredible. The guacamole and the margarita chicken were both so flavorful. What really surprised me (in the best way) was the pineapple coconut margarita, I usually don’t like sweet drinks, but this one was perfectly balanced and so good! What stood out the most, though, was the service. Our waiter, Adrian, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed from drinks to food and anything else at the table. He truly elevated the entire experience. Overall, such a great first visit to Mesita. We’ll definitely be coming back!
