It is rare that I leave reviews for restaurants either good or bad but Juan made this a wonderful evening. Our experience at Mesita was exceptional and it was the first time we went to any of their locations. Usually I would go to Besito’s for years and now I think I am converting over to Mesita. The moment I walked in, it was great music and beautiful decor with a great vibe. Platters and drinks looked delicious and not just eye appealing. I recognized one of the servers, Juan, and he used to work at previous restaurants on LI that I would frequent. We each remembered each other and it had been over 5 years since the last time I have seen him in a restaurant in Huntington village. He said that he would be our server and it became a family dinner instead of just a restaurant visit. It was as good as it gets, and I let him even pick which appetizer ( guacamole which was to die for ), the taco trio which was perfect size and flavors, as well as spicy margaritas with a show lighting on fire lol. He even recommended the dessert banana loco which was too good and we already are planning Mesita to be in our rotation from now on every 1-2 weeks. Juan also introduced us to Phil who is a very kind and warm team member that he wanted to make sure we always are taken care of when we go. You just do NOT get service like this anywhere. I usually go to places in Manhattan like Smith & Wollensky, Bowery Meat Co, Tao, etc. On LI it is rare to get this treatment so I give 5/5 stars for the entire team.

We came here in a bustling Friday night. I can see why a reservation is necessary, this place is packed and pumping. It’s a full night of partying. I was grateful to witness the birthday events that occured.
I met the managers Jeff and Phil. We where escorted to our seats and Francesca was out entertaining bartender for the evening. She had nothing but smiles and charisma. She had us laughing and joking every time she came to check on us, which was very often.
You are served generous portions so sharing would be advised. We started with their chips and salsa. I prefer Tres Amigos – honey wings, chicken empanada, & quesadilla. Then I had combo burrito and she ordered the combo fajita. The food was very good and tasty. For desert we split a Tres Leches.
I became inundated due to the fun atmosphere, loud music, and the crowd, whoever I REALLY enjoyed our time and the manager, Jef, checked on us often.
Mesita puts Garden City on the map and must experience the vibe, the food, the staff. Oh! And if he remissed not to mention the guys bringing your food, they have skills and perform with eloquence and grace.

this is my second time coming here and the food here is amazing. i came here to celebrate my birthday and will be back. the chef’s aren’t scared to use seasoning. i ordered the steak and it was so delicious!! the drinks are really strong. this restaurant is also vegetarian friendly. our waiter jordan was great!!

Extremely poor service; I would not recommend this place. Despite having a reservation, we were seated late, and the staff immediately began rushing us to order because it was 3:20PM and Brunch service stops at 3:30. The manager, who took his time seating us, was particularly pushy about taking our order. As a sommelier, I find this level of service completely unacceptable. You simply don’t treat guests this way. Instead don’t take reservations if you’re in the middle of changing menus and you anticipate the service is going to be poor.

It was a Monday night and most restaurants were closed. We had our minds set on Mexican. Mesita was open ! Mesita was decorated perfectly. Service was quick. Immediately we ordered guacamole . Fresh and delicious. With so many restaurants eliminating bread from the table, it was great that salsa and chips are complimentary . Next we figured out our drinks. And finally while sipping our cocktails and nibbling on chips with guacamole, we ordered our entrees. Many vegetarian options! Our waiter was fantastic. Very friendly. If you want great Mexican, delicious cocktails, and ambiance go here !
