It’s hard to find authentic Mexican in the suburbs, but this place was close! We got the red chilaquiles, steak tacos, their red and green tamales and guacamole and horchata. Of everything we would recommend the guac, horchata and chilaquiles. We felt the tamales were too overcooked, similar to having been heated up in the microwave which was a little dissapointing considering they say it’s a family recipe, the flavor was okay but the masa was too hard. The steak in the tacos was just okay. The rice and beans were decent. We enjoyed the prompt service and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant in general.
Overall we were satisfied and will most likely return!

Wonderful lunch at Meshico today. Food delicious. This is the Chimichanguitas. Friend had tilapia in foil with cheese, which she loved. Presentation beautiful. Only negative was room temperature, due to door letting in cold air.

My partner and I recently visited this lovely restaurant a few days ago, and we loved it! The margaritas were too good, we couldn’t have just one! We were especially big fans of the strawberry and prickly pear flavors. Delicious!
The food is so well-crafted and undeniably authentic. I devoured my two quesabirria tacos as well as an al pastor taco. My partner inhaled his chicken and shrimp tacos because they were that good! The Papas Bravas had a wonderful kick to them without overpowering the overall flavor. We’re already planning to go back soon!
The staff took such good care of us and made us feel so welcome. If you’re looking for yummy food paired with tasty drinks and an inviting atmosphere, you’ve found the right place!

Have gotten takeout a few times and has been great, so decided to get catering for a birthday party and it was excellent! Packaged so well, stayed hot, delicious and was so much food. Everyone enjoyed it a lot. We’re still enjoying it the next day and probably have leftovers a few more days! Highly recommend for catering or a meal out.

We were in Palos Heights to move my parents from their long-time home to a new place near us in Michigan, and needed lunch while the movers loaded the truck. We’re so glad we happened into Meshico! Our food–I had tacos (chicken and veggie) and my husband had a burrito with beans and rice, then an extra special dessert–was fabulous. It was clearly homemade, from scratch, perfectly flavored. Chips and salsa and two flavors of hot sauce arrived as soon as we sat down and they were all amazing, too. Service and our server, Lupita, were exceptional. In fact, the way Lupita made us feel at home and connected to us was even better than the food. Do yourself a huge gastronomical favor and dine here!

I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a place to cater my small New Year’s Eve party. I checked out a few local places and almost ordered with someone else but their online menu was so confusing, so I kept searching and found Meshico.
The online menu is very clear and easy to understand so I settled on ordering here. Holy smokes, am I so glad I did! I truly cannot rave enough. Every single person at the party commented on how good the food was. The kids ate! Do you know how impossible it is to get a group of 8-10 year olds to eat at a party? They usually just grab some chips and run, but every kid ate!
I cannot say it enough, the food was SO GOOD! And the portions huge, you more than get what you pay for. We ate tacos three times a day the whole week after the party and no one got tired of eating them.
My husband picked up the food, not me, so I still haven’t stepped into the restaurant. But when I called to make the order, they were so friendly and helpful on the phone. And my husband said they were kind and friendly in person. He reported that it was very cute inside, too, and would make a great date place.
Also, when the food arrives, they hook you up. Every single thing you need: three different salsas, a box of lime wedges, a box of cilantro, cheese, sour cream…the list goes on. This place was fantastic. I’m so grateful! Thank you for such a lovely, easy party. I usually cook the food myself and it’s messy and stressful, but this year I was able to enjoy my party. Thank you! I can’t wait to go into Meshico in person!

Restaurant has a nice, modern atmosphere. The service was great. I ordered a steak torta, which was amazing, very flavorful, and was perfectly prepared and with a generous portion of avocado. My niece had the torta de milanesa and she loved it as well. The salsa for the chips was really good

Great food, drinks, & dessert. Service was excellent. Everything priced just right except for the guacamole, I understand market value but the price overshadowed the quantity. If you all were to add another half portion to what you already give, then everything will be perfect.
