We did the igloos on the water and they were so nice. Very heated. We even had to open the “windows” lol. The table is super low and makes it a little uncomfortable for eating but still worth it. The burger was great and so was the fish. I’m sure it’s beautiful at night with all the lights! Service was wonderful too.

The igloos are really nice and totally worth it for the privacy and warmth they bring you and your party. The service initially was excellent and the maitre d was accommodating of our stroller by adjusting and removing chairs from the inside of the igloo. The location is great for a relaxing evening out with family/friends and the food was surprisingly good (especially the beef short rib entree and the fish n chips)! The smores board was disappointing. The rest of the service left something to be desired – we were served the short rib sandwich instead of the entree, but they were quick to take that back and bring us the entree. We did detect some passive aggressiveness from the server as if we should have been more clear when we ordered, but no harm done, no foul. At the end though, when the check came, we were charged the 25$ igloo rental fee which I had already paid on booking. I did catch it and inform the server as such. We were then told that while the fee will be removed, we should inform them when we arrive for the dinner that we already paid the igloo rental fee otherwise they wouldn’t know. This rubbed us the wrong way as we would’ve paid an extra 25$ had we not been looking at the itemized bill and were made to feel as if it was our fault. Apart from that, the experience was good and I do recommend the restaurant esp the igloos.

We came here for the first time and I’m so glad we did. Such a relaxing atmosphere, so peaceful. The food was amazingly delicious! My fiancé and I ate the Walleye fillet. It was perfect. Also the calamari was absolutely perfect!! The customer service was excellent. We’ll definitely be returning here. We left very happy and satisfied! We highly recommend this place.

Casual riverside American to seafood joint. After eating we watched the crew teams practice on the river. Fried pickles appetizer was great. My wife loved the fish tacos; the fish was crispy. The walleye fish and chips was cooked well, very crispy on the outside, overall walleye has a more fishy taste than your classic fish fry.

Loved it. In town for the day to go to the zoo and I wanted crab cakes. Was not let down. Then on top of good crab. Makes, amazing onion rings!! Friendly waitress. Watching the boats pass was relaxing. Very calm and peaceful! I will definitely be back!

Chill place with a good view of the river. Perch sandwich was good. Halloumi and eggplant sandwich was also good. Food took a while to come out but our polite waiter made up for it. Decent drink selection. Good atmosphere. Clean facilities. Fair prices. Kid and pet friendly. Good outdoor seating.

My wife and I were very excited to take the Cleveland metroparks Cuyahoga River boat tour this year to celebrate our anniversary. As part of that celebration, we also wanted to finally try out Merwin’s Wharf as well.
The outside seating has a wait so we opted for inside, which was fine given it was a bit cooler outside as it was later into the evening.
Service was excellent and our waitress was on top of drink refills and grabbed our order as soon as we were ready. I was excited to try out the watermelon salad with chicken. The sweet/heat salad dressing sounded interesting paired with the watermelon and candied pecans. We got the 1.5lb pretzel as an appetizer for us both and wow are they not kidding on the weight of this thing. Easily shareable with an entire table.
The dressing was very interesting and paired well but it would not be my first choice if I ordered it again. I have a fairly low heat tolerance and this was just in the cusp of being a tad bit too spicy for me.
My wife absolutely loved her eggplant sandwich and chips and was very pleased with how it was cooked and served.
For dessert, we ordered what was basically a peach cobbler cheesecake and it was amazing. Was a bit hesitant when my wife first ordered it but it turned out quite tasty
Overall we really enjoyed the food and experience and would absolutely visit again in the future and bring along some friends to help eat that pretzel!

I was at the park for a rowing regatta, so the park was bustling all day. I stopped into Merwin’s to see about getting some lunch, and although they were VERY busy, I found a seat at the bar. I was able to order a burger fairly quickly and it actually arrived quickly as well. It was delicious, reasonably priced and quick to arrive.

Great experience here! I had a burger and onion rings. Simple meal yes, but it was delicious! The setting was super nice, and right off a river which provided a cool view. Will definitely return when back in town!
