I was pretty disappointed by the food. I wanted to like it, but overall was not a fan and probably wouldn’t go back. I went there to avoid the crowds of nearby restaurants, but this was not the best. Not a lot of options out there though. I liked the service and the atmosphere though, as well as a mini park near outdoor seating.

Amazing place, family owned. Inside is legit so cool. Signed dollar bills lining the ceiling, and the walls are covered in glass cases filled wither with all sorts of cool things like currency from other countries, badges of all types, origami art, and just so much cool things to look at. And there’s a full phone booth you can stand in. Fries were amazing and their shakes stand almost 2 inches past the rim of the cups!

If you want a great burger for a great price, Merlin’s is perfect. I love the buns they use and the burger was done to perfection. The staff was friendly and welcoming and our food (burgers, shakes and fries) were ready right away. We’ll be going there again!

Best mushroom burger and shakes I’ve ever had. The customer service was stellar. Josh is amazing. One of the coolest decorated restaurants I’ve ever seen. Definitely worth stopping at if you’re at Bear Lake.

Warm welcoming service, and their burgers are the best around the lake. They use fresh mushrooms on their mushroom burgers and they are seasoned to perfection! You will not walk away hungry! If you haven’t tried them, or you need to!

We have drove by this Drive Inn a few times and never stopped well that won’t happen again. The food was great and that was even with them having about 50 people either waiting for or ordering food.
The hamburger was great had the mushroom burger sooooo yummy and tater tots which were crispy but soft on the inside. My wife is really picky when it comes to tots but she loved them.
We split the burger and it was big enough for both of us to enjoy.
The bathroom were very clean again with about 50 to 60 people going in and out of the place.
We will be back again… soon.

Very friendly staff, walked in and one of them said, “must’ve heard we have the best shakes in town, been trying to keep it a secret!” And boy were they RIGHT! I’ve had probably 100 shakes over the course of my time spent at bear lake, from chevron to labeaus, over the years. This place has the best, the flavor is real and you get a good helping of raspberry with it.

We waited over an hour and a half. Yes it was busy time of year but they did not streamline the process as you ordered. We waited 30 minutes with two families in front of us. The staff was friendly once we got to the front and the food was typical diner food.

Ate here 8/22 with my family. The food was really tasty, the milkshakes were ok. We had Oreo, Chocolate, M+M, and Raspberry shakes. The Oreo was everyone’s favorite, We also had a grilled cheese sandwich, the Jalapeño Burger, Bacon Cheese Burger, tater tots, fries and grilled chicken burger. The tater tots and fries were amazing. The Jalapeño burger was especially tasty as well. The buns were fresh and toasted perfectly. We spent about $15/person. There was seating inside and out. We would totally eat here again!

We always stop at Merlins on our way out of town. The shakes are so yummy and refreshing after a hot day at the lake! We especially enjoyed the tater tots and fries.
Not pictured are the giant cheeseburgers (we ate them before we could snap a picture) that were so good with all of the fresh veggies!
There was no wait on a Sunday afternoon and our food was hot and ready in just a few minutes.
