We didn’t have a reservation and it was Valentine day but thanks to Alejandro! He came in clutch and made everything happen! He was so gracious and genuine! He made the whole experience way better. Besides his exceptional service and gift, we all enjoyed the food and experience to the utmost. It was all of our first time dinning at an upscale restaurants and it definitely didn’t disappoint. It was pricey but most worth it for an experience with your love ones. Highly recommended if you get the chance to come to Lima.

Flavor is subjective, but food is more than taste. Based on the reviews, I expected a memorable dining experience with refined, prestigious flavors. Unfortunately, what I received were bland, forgettable plates with inconsistent textures.

The good.
The presentation and overall flow of the tasting menu were excellent. Visual elements, colors, and ingredients from earlier courses thoughtfully reappeared in later dishes, creating a cohesive progression throughout the meal. The hospitality was also strong. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful, offering clear explanations and suggestions on how to eat certain dishes, which was appreciated since some plates were not intuitive. The music choice was also an interesting decision, featuring techno and Latinx influences, which added a modern, energetic atmosphere to the space.

The bad.
The flavors simply were not there. The scallops were bland, several dishes were overly acidic to the point of being unpleasantly sour, and the trucha had an aggressive flavor that was so intense it made me want to cough. The ingredients themselves did not justify the high price point. The first course was essentially a glorified shot that was bitter and underwhelming. Many dishes relied heavily on fruit based components that felt repetitive and lacked depth, making it difficult to understand the value. There also seemed to be a reliance on certain ingredients to create the illusion of substance, which was disappointing. One dessert listed as coco, tumbo, and cedrón was essentially a meringue with poorly executed passion fruit juice. While the craftsmanship and presentation were beautiful, the actual food left a lot to be desired.

For me personally, the tasting menu was not worth it. If an à la carte option returns, I might consider giving it another chance, but as it stands, I would not recommend it. We paid S/1,392, and the experience did not align with what one would reasonably expect from fine dining at this level. For travelers visiting Peru, I would recommend weighing the high reviews with a grain of salt. If your focus is on presentation, hospitality, and service, you will likely leave satisfied. However, if flavor is a priority, there will unfortunately be a lot left to be desired.

Book 3+ months ahead. Come here for intimate dinner focused on unique blend of ingredients, farm to table, simple and exceptional at the same time. We chose a 12-course tasting and paired it with non-alcoholic drinks. It was phenomenal. This really is a place where chefs come to eat. We spent 1450 soles for 2.

The service was great. The entire menu looks delicious. The scallops were so fresh and light. I loved the salmon tartare. Super super tasty. Fish curry was fantastic. The dessert was rich and full of flavor.

Hidden Gem in Barranco! We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this little establishment that packs a huge gastronomic experience. Make sure that you make a reservation as there are only about 10 tables and a log waiting list. My meal consisted of octopus that was prepared and presented extremely well. For the Main course, the fish curry was exquisite. White flaky tender and melt in your mouth goodness. The flavors were delicious and everything complimented the flavors. For dessert the “Roca” which is a chocolate rock that contained enjoyable amounts of sweet and savory. Make a reservation and go!

We ordered 5+1 things between two people and felt that it was enough food. Okay: popeye crab, white fish with cocona / Good: Scallops with sanki and jalapeño, Fish curry / Amazing: Lamb and tuber (tender and so succulent), Flan (soooo creamy with a slight burnt caramel taste on the sauce, the lightly bitter taste compliments the taste and texture of the custard very well). We also got the Chirimoya cocktail – taste was good, but also quite basic. I gave it 4 stars because only 1/5 dishes were really, really good in our opinion.

Service from Cesmar was , she was very attentive and thorough in her explanation of the dishes. We found the price affordable for this level of dining experience. For reference, our meal came to around 260 PEN per person. I recommend booking in advance, but if you didn’t, it’s worth walking in to check if they have any availability for that day/the next couple of days (this is what we did). Happy dining!

Having revitalized an old space with warm woods and careful lighting, the owners have created a charming restaurant that celebrates ‘essence’. From the raw beams and walls that hold the space, the chef has worked hard to showcase the flavours and ingredients that are quintessentially Peruvian. Delicate dishes play with texture, colour and temperature in ways that delight the eyes and palate, simply laid out on earthy plates and smooth ‘stoneware’. Prepared to be amazed.

The meal was exceptional and is one of the best I have ever had. Honestly tasting menus make me a little nervous because I wonder if the imagination of the chef is just too far outside my comfort zone. Despite my nerves, I brought an open mind to this experience.

As I reviewed the menu, cornbread jumped off the page. As a person who grew up eating cornbread, I was SURE that I would be disappointed. I have been to many restaurants who try to put some flare on cornbread and they fail. Well, it was not like Jiffy or any cornbread I have made from scratch. It was more like a sweet bread and the onion butter was wonderful. I was getting full but still regret I did not eat my last slice.

I could go on and rave about almost every dish but who wants to read all of that and I assume the menu changes so it is not even helpful. But I need to say the beef was fantastic. I do not eat much red meat and was set to be underwhelmed and it was amazing. And since my review seems to be all sunshine, I will be real and say there was one part I did not like and it was a gelatinous portion of a dessert. It is a texture I do not enjoy but it was such a small component of the meal that if you feel the same way this will not really impact your satisfaction. What can I say, it is just my palate.

By the dessert courses, I was pretty full any way but I managed to eat all of the thin cookies which gave me another surprise ….I enjoyed the white chocolate one. I generally love dark chocolate, will eat milk chocolate but pass on desserts with a white chocolate base. I was wrong again. This was great.

I wish I had photos of all the courses. They were a treat for the eyes not just the stomach. I would go back in heartbeat. This was my best of many great meals in Lima.

We had a fantastic experience with impeccable service and novel, exciting flavors as part of the tasting menu. We were continually blown away as each dish was brought out (I included a few fun pictures of some of my favorites). So many delicious tastes and exciting textures. We definitely had a few favorites but the entire menu was a delight. We felt the price was well worth it and the servers were very attendant throughout the night. The sommelier was also lovely and helped us select a bottle of sparkling wine from Argentina for the evening.

Very modern and innovative menu with ingredients all sourced from Peru. The service was top notch as you’d expect with a restaurant of this caliber. Most of the dishes were very well balanced between flavors and textures. Would recommend to anyone visiting Lima and looking for a fine dining experience.
