Down here on the Oregon coast, the Cioppino at Meridian in the Headlands Lodge up in Pacific City is a solid choice if you’re craving a hearty seafood stew. The broth has a nice tomato base with some good veggies mixed in, and the freshest clams. It’s flavorful without being too heavy on the spices. Pairs well with a glass of white wine and the view of Haystack Rock if you snag a window seat. The kind of dish that’s reliable for a coastal dinner, not over-the-top, more than decent and satisfying after a day on the beach.

My wife and I came in for dinner. Everything was delicious, the squash and kale salad were our two favorites. The scallops were cooked perfectly.

Highly recommend this place! My husband and I were in town last week visiting for the first time and although it was after the typical lunch hour the other spots in town seemed busy, so we decided to check out this spot inside of a local spa— so glad we did! The venue is gorgeous with views of the Pacific.
We shared the crab cakes, the burrata plate + the clam chowder. All were extremely fresh + flavorful. You can tell the kitchen staff knows their stuff!
Our server Mary was super kind + attentive. She even went above and beyond to give us some advice on places to see + things to do while we were in the area

I’ve never had a bad meal in Oregon, so it’s hard to rank my meals when visiting. Meridian is definitely hovering around the top. I had an incredible dining experience here on short notice. Service was flawless. The food was outstanding. The views were beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. Highly recommended!

Our server and the view were phenomenal. Everything else was very disappointing. We stopped here for lunch while on a roadtrip of US 101. We naively thought its location in a hotel meant we’d find a menu of sandwiches and other simple fare for families. Instead, we found very limited lunch menu with overly pretentious food. Who needs truffle potato chips? I’m fond of truffles on other dishes but the truffle flavor made the chips inedible. And who needs an oil drizzle and Old Bay on an already rich, well-seasoned bowl of clam chowder? The oil made the dish so rich I could eat only a few spoonfuls, and the Old Bay made it too salty. And a burger and bowl of chowder cost more than most dinners on our trip. We won’t be back.

Visited based upon a recommendation from a friend. There is a TON of potential, and will probably try again. Service was painfully slow (35 minutes for drink/bread/67 minutes for entrees) and they didn’t really seem to care. There were 2 other servers that we saw interactive, moving and taking care of people, but the check in counter and server were not what you’d expect. Food: Bread was phenomenal, wagyu burger was fantastic, the Halibut…. it was tasty, but very boring. Sitting atop a mound of mashed potatoes and puree, could have used some color and maybe even a tiny side…, asparagus, tomato, pepper, something. It was tasty, but for $52, there should have been a little more love.

Made a Dinner reservation (though i dont think its necessary) It look about 15-20 min to get our order in, but once we did, drinks where immediately brought to us. It was my friends birthday and the bartender (sorry I dont remember her name, short brown hair, taller) brought my friend a suprise birthday shot. Extremely welcoming. Our server whos name was MJ was PHENOMENAL. We asked if the fire place could be turned off, we have a pregnant friend who overheats easily and they shut it off no questions. MJ was so sweet, brought us extra bread since we were sharing. She divided our check by 6 even though it wasn’t their normal procedure. We stayed until closing without anyone rushing us out, we lingered in the bathroom for a little to get pictures, its stunning as well! I recommend having a day time experience, theres a beautiful view. But our dinner was still AMAZING. Will return, will recommend. Staff was friendly. Tip was already added on, but we each tipped extra due to the Amazing Service.

Clams had so much sands. The pasta noodles still really hard. But beautiful view and nice decorations

Beautiful views, delicious food, and fantastic service. Pricey, but perfect for a special occasion. Some of the best clam chowder I’ve ever had! The crab cakes and smoked pork chops were amazing, too.
Tip: Online had no availability, but I called and the restaurant was still taking reservations. We were also able to park in the hotel lot for free.

Food was just ok. Not good, and definitely not great! Everything about the menu tried to state “elevated”. The only thing elevated were the prices. Clam chowder, meh. Focaccia bread, meh. Glasses of wine way overpriced for what you get. Halibut dinner was ok, nothing special. Ribeye steak was the worst part of the dinner. Small, thin, and chewy. Asked for medium rare, it was medium when it hit the plate and well done 5 minutes later. Dessert was meh. The ONLY thing I would go back for was the Old Fashioned. I did give 5 stars for service. Our young server was great. Overall, just another disappointing tourist trap.
