Food was tasty as always. Come here as often as I can with my wife. There is a small language barrier so there’s room for error with the order, but other than that the food is authentic and delicious!

Visiting from out of town and was excited to see a Filipino establishment ! We walked in and waited almost 15 minutes, even when we rang the bell for service. My mom called out and finally found someone. The food took awhile to come out and the loganisa did not taste good. They forgot about one of our orders and then told us they were sold out after the fact. The server was friendly and gave us a free cake.

I visited Mercel’s Bakeshop today! I got the adobo pork, adobo chicken with white rice and egg rolls. The egg rolls were good, the adobo pork was really good as well with the rice, the chicken was ok. I give them a 4.5

. I love egg rolls and someone told me a week ago that lumpia are the best of all the Asian nationalities egg rolls. I tried and they exceeded expectation. I ordered pick up on DoorDash and was surprised to see it was right by the rainbow and down the block from me. The food was hot hot like fresh out of the oil and the guy at the counter was so sweet and had good energy! I also got garlic rice which was good and a generous portion. Will be back for the lunpiang and to try new things. We are so lucky to live in a city with so many different cultures of food. I will order there next time so DoorDash doesn’t take there cut !

This wasn’t my first choice, I went to the business down the street solely based on stars, to my Surprise, the stars and service didn’t match so we left to go here. Living in a place where there were no Filipino restaurants or stores, my experience started off horribly, I’m glad i came here.
Mercels bakery is your typical two in one store / restaurant. Majority of the space was stocked with Filipino favorites such as swan soy sauce, bario fiesta bagaoon, UBE flavored snacks etc. There was a small selection in the bakery window but we opted to skip it and chose to get done UBE wafer sticks. They offered to door services for boxes sent over seas ( which I ended up helping an elderly mother and her daughter struggling unload her two boxes. ) We were greeted by the Filipino grandma who smiled the whole time. I wished she had a grandson or someone else help her carry the food, not that she couldn’t handle it.
We ordered Adobong baboy, beef bistek, pinoy spaghetti, diniguan and (3) pork BBQ skewers. Entrees didn’t come with rice but they sold it for 1.25 a side. For the avg person, 1 is plentiful, maybe a little more than 2x more for what you’d normally get. Being pinoy, I ordered two for myself. Food came out quick and was even pre-bused periodically. They didn’t offer free water but their bottles water and soda wasn’t overpriced.
In my providence, the filipino food is cooked more on the sweeter side but food was still good. Family didn’t complain one bit about the food and finished everything. Overall I was glad I came here and wasn’t disrespected or judged like the owner at tindihans pinoy down the street.

Hands down the best Filipino restaurant in Pinellas county, it blows me away this place is 20 minutes from St Petersburg but there’s nothing else that compares, really weird that this doesn’t come up in searches for Philippine food only desert. Really really really really good

When you come into this place, there might not be anyone in the front to serve you right away because they are busy cooking in the back so just give the store a call to get ahold of them, no big deal. The food they do serve is delicious and flavourful. I had the Pork Adobo and Lumpiang Shanghai. The restaurant section is tiny with just a few tables but it does look nice. There is also a nice store where you can get lots of fillipino snacks while you wait. Overall, my experience was amazing and I would recommend this place to anyone that wants some authentic Fillipino food.

I am very disappointed with our experience here at their shop and they are also liars. My husband ordered and he was excited because it was mother’s day and that was his treat for me and I really missed Filipino food. Then the order we received was less than half of our order. we called when we first said that the order we received was wrong. then I will be asked what to do? then while I heard them talking about who gave the order and who replaced it, the call was suddenly cut off. then I called again to say that it’s ok we’ll reorder again, the answer to me is that the person who cooks the food has already gone home. that time is only 4:30 pm then when I check on their website they still open until 7pm even in the app they still open .

I placed a pickup order, but when I arrived at the store, they told me they didn’t have my food at all. Yet, the DoorDash app showed my order as ready. I still haven’t received a refund, and when I called the store to sort it out, the person on the phone just hung up on me.Favorite kopa namn Dinuguan niyo
